The RoleWe are looking for a skilled and forward-thinking Systems Engineer – Landing Gear to join our Engineering & Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, integration, and validation of landing gear systems used in ADASI's unmanned and aerospace platforms. You'll work across disciplines to ensure these critical systems are compliant with stringent airworthiness and operational requirements, contributing to the success of our cutting-edge defense programs.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of landing gear systems, including actuation, retraction, and damping mechanisms
Define and validate system requirements aligned with aircraft mission needs and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with aircraft systems
Conduct stress, load, and fatigue analyses using simulation tools to ensure structural integrity

Perform analysis and simulations for pressure, flow, contamination control, and thermal effects
Define and support verification and testing activities including pressure, leak, and endurance tests
Ensure compliance with aerospace standards including MIL-STD-810, DO-160, and fluid specifications
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and support airworthiness and certification processes
Collaborate with airframe, avionics, controls, and manufacturing teams to deliver fully integrated solutions
Engage suppliers and participate in design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) to ensure quality and performance
Required QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Fluid Power/Systems Engineering (required)
Master’s degree in a related specialization (preferred)
Experience:
Minimum 8 years in aerospace/defense industries, with at least 4 years focused on hydraulic systems
Experience with UAVs, military aircraft, or rotorcraft is highly desirable
Certifications:
INCOSE ASEP or CSEP (preferred)
OEM or specialized hydraulic training (advantageous)
Familiarity with AS9100D or ISO 9001 quality systems (preferred)

The RoleWe are seeking a Systems Engineer – Actuation Systems to join our dynamic Engineering & Technology team. In this role, you will lead the systems engineering activities related to flight control, landing gear, and payload actuation systems across ADASI's UAV platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring these systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards through effective architecture, integration, testing, and validation. The ideal candidate will bring a systems-level perspective, hands-on actuator experience, and a strong drive to innovate in a high-stakes defense environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and manage system-level requirements and interfaces for electromechanical and electrohydraulic actuation systems
Develop architecture diagrams, requirement traceability, and interface control documents (ICDs)
Support actuator selection, integration, and performance trade-off studies
Ensure alignment with platform-level constraints: power, thermal, control, and mechanical packaging
Lead system validation through simulation, lab tests, ground, and flight testing
Execute V&V plans for response time, environmental qualification (DO-160, MIL-STD-810), and lifecycle performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including avionics, flight control, and airframe design
Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action planning during development or operational phases
Participate in FMEA, hazard analysis, and system reliability assessments
Support internal and external design reviews (PDR, CDR) and maintain documentation and compliance records
Required QualificationsEducation:

As an Electrical System Engineer in Orbitworks' Solutions Engineering Team, you will work on multiple satellite missions simultaneously, each with a unique, multi-payload configuration. Your role will be to ensure the successful power and command protocol integration of the payloads to the bus, leveraging Loft’s products. You will collaborate across various teams including satellite electrical configuration, payload interface software, mission engineering, and AIT.
About this Role:- You will work with other teams and customers to develop and maintain technical power budgets for spacecraft performance.
- You will develop and manage electrical requirements and verification techniques with both internal teams and customers.
- You will support test procedures and participate in the integration and test campaign at our spacecraft manufacturer's site.
- Enjoy being the face of the electrical technical requirements and working with a team to deliver quality hardware.
- Knowledge of bus protocols such as SpaceWire, CAN, and RS-422 specifications.
- Understanding of power allocation and distribution systems, including fault tolerance and derating considerations.
- Familiarity with different satellite subsystems (Thermal, Structural, ADCS, RF Link, etc.).
- Experience in small satellite assembly, integration, and test campaigns.
- Experience working in a fast-paced development environment.
- Prior experience in delivering a spacecraft to orbit and/or space-qualified hardware to a customer.
