Director Tax Transaction Advisory Services
As specialists in the investment management sector, our Transaction Tax Advisory team has a broad range of experience tackling complex tax issues that span jurisdictions and tax codes. We offer a broad range of transaction tax advisory services that evolve as client needs develop. We provide expert tax advice to our clients, working collaboratively with legal counsel and local specialists where required.

This is a technical, client facing role with the potential to hone a specialist field of technical knowledge and expertise is available.
Day-to-day responsibilities- Have technical and commercial oversight on tax due diligence projects for buy-side and sell-side transactions including the providing instruction to international tax counsel, and advise on pre-acquisition and post-acquisition tax structuring.
- Provide a range of inbound and outbound tax advisory services, helping multinational companies align their tax strategies to their business.
- Design and successful international tax structuring and planning.
- Oversee advice on international tax issues including earnings repatriation, tax credit planning, cross-border mergers, financing, intangibles planning and worldwide tax management strategies.
- Act as the primary senior point of contact within the practice for clients, responding to queries, anticipating requests, and maintaining regular contact with clients.
- Undertake highly technical advisory projects with managing director support and guidance.
- Be responsible for coaching, mentoring and counselling junior staff.
- Develop a professional network proactively seeking and identifying new business opportunities that drives workflow to the group.
- Work as part of a collaborative team adding to the team spirit.
- Successfully completed an economics degree with a focus on accounting, auditing and/or taxes (or equivalent).
- 6-7 years’ experience.
- Good understanding of the structure of hedge and private equity funds. Ideally has advised the manager, the fund, investment mandates and fund trading activities.
- Knowledge of the international tax environment and recent responses to anti-avoidance.
- Proven expertise in tax matters and project oversight and management skills.
- A strong work ethic and focus on personal excellence.
- Ability to provide leadership and direction to team members.
- Must be able to work productively in a high pressure environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate complex tax issues with non-tax persons.
- Must be able to manage several simultaneous work streams.

The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity to join our International Tax & Transaction Services (ITTS) practice as a Senior Manager where you will have the chance to advise various clients on the regional and international tax implications of their operations in line with the relevant tax codes and jurisdictions. This is an advisory-focused role that specializes in international tax matters such as (but not limited to): permanent establishment, double taxation, cross-border treaties, tax structuring, corporate tax impact assessments, withholding tax, and any other relevant matters.
Your key responsibilitiesYou will spend your time managing the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding international tax engagements, ensuring technical and practical excellence to maximize client service quality. You will also assist directors and partners with generating new business opportunities by building and maintaining new and existing client relationships.
As part of a global entity, you can also expect to manage leads and opportunities from other areas of the tax practice and the wider EY network and help them do the same.

- 8 years or more of relevant, client-facing international tax advisory experience.
- Broad exposure to international taxation with focus on inbound and outbound investments.
- Strong managerial, organizational, project management, analytical and verbal/written communication skills
- Experience of managing a team and/or mentoring and developing more junior team members
- Advanced knowledge or specialization in a particular area of international tax.
- Fluency in Arabic, both written and spoken.

- Establish, lead and define the right vision for a highly performing Contracting Organization up to the size of 50 FTE and annual spend in excess of SAR 10 Billion.

- Operationalize Contracting Best practices E2E to enable a smooth process.
- Lead complex RFPs, develop new process standards and ensure competitive and diverse bid slate development.
