Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end VAT and corporate tax compliance process for all entities within the shared service center's scope.
- Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring timely submission and accuracy in line with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee tax reconciliations, ensuring proper documentation and audit readiness.
- Monitor changes in VAT and corporate tax laws, assessing their impact on the business and updating processes accordingly.
- Support tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency while maintaining compliance.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and government authorities during tax audits and queries.
- Review intercompany transactions for tax implications.
- Ensure accurate tax provisioning and reporting in financial statements.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and control within the tax function.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional tax or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CTA) preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of tax experience, with at least 3 years in VAT and corporate tax within a shared service center or multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of UAE VAT, corporate tax laws, and international tax principles.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
