Responsibilities:

1. Assist teacher during lessons.
2. Prepare the class for lessons.
3. Assist children in the bathroom and change diapers.
4. Mop and prepare the class for the next day's session.
5. Decorate the class as per the required theme of the month.
6. Ensure the cleanliness of the nursery is of a high standard.
7. Ensure harmful chemicals are out of reach of children and the rooms are aired appropriately.
8. Clean any mess or dirt as soon as possible without disrupting routine.
9. Ensure all toys in the classroom are cleaned and sanitized twice a week during/after duty.
10. Be committed to raising the educational achievement of students.
11. Work with individuals or small groups under the supervision of the teacher.
12. Supervise students on school trips.
13. Never leave the children unsupervised.
14. Prepare all planned activities required for the teacher.
15. Support staff on work experience placements at the school.
16. Maintain attendance figures.
17. Provide feedback to students and the teacher.
18. Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide support for individual pupils/groups of pupils inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in a range of activities during the school day and to provide for their social, emotional and physical well-being.
• Be pro-active in matters relating to health and safety.
• Assist in the implementation of individual education programmes for individual pupils/groups of pupils and help monitor their progress.
• Support pupils with additional support needs e.g. emotional and behavioral difficulties and help to develop their social skills.
• Assist class teachers with maintaining pupil records.
• Prepare and present displays of pupils work.
• Support class teachers in photocopying and other tasks in order to support teaching.
