Job Objective

Contribute to the delivery of engineering excellence through:

  • Uses advanced technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments and produce engineering deliverables including complex problems and to complete any project tasks with minimal guidance and direction.
  • May serve as the Lead Engineer or the project Technical Authority on projects and hold advanced level specialization in one or more areas of expertise.
  • Functions as a technical specialist who develops applications, hypothesis, approaches and applies advanced engineering concepts to unique engineering problems
  • In addition to specialization, generally directs highly qualified professionals engaged in complex engineering projects.
  • Provides technical reviews for complex project within the area of expertise.
  • In consulting business areas, may have authority for a portfolio of consulting projects, managing and providing technical direction and guidance, managing client relationship and project team engagement, with responsibility for cost, schedule, resource allocation and risk.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Definition and approval of technical scopes
  • Assists in establishing project aims and outcomes to contribute to the development of a comprehensive project design.
  • Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling projects
  • Makes recommendations on project organization requirements, work methods and procedures and technical innovations by devising practical and economical solutions to problems in own or various engineering disciplines.

Executing assigned scopes of work.
  • Supervises and participates in delivery of complex engineering tasks.
  • Formulates and directs investigations or prototype, model and system studies, evaluating and interpreting the data obtained and recommending practical application of results.
  • Contributes to successful project completion by participating in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and complex coordination requirements.
  • Coordinates implementation of design engineering solutions.
  • Reviews project-related documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Supervises complex engineering tasks related to a portion of a major project
  • Work consists of complex procedures and tasks where diagnostic ability is required to assess the situation and identify appropriate actions to follow
  • Assignments cover broad and complex subject matter where issues and factors may be characterized by unusual demands and require additional evaluation to establish the nature and scope of the problem
  • Exercises mature business judgement in devising practical, economical solutions
  • Participate in incident investigations as required
  • Assesses work against standards, aims and specifications.

Providing technical expertise
  • Provides expert advice on design processes, construction methods and other technical areas
  • Advises on the development of new engineering methods and participates in short and long-range planning.
  • Solves problems requiring application of research data in own and allied professional disciplines; exercises mature business judgment in devising practical, economical solutions.
  • Perform the role of Technical Authority when appointed to do so.
  • Provides expert advice on design processes or construction methods

  • Acts as technical custodian for low to medium value bids and proposals

Contributing to business growth

Manage And Supervise Others
  • May be responsible for supervising technical specialists or engineers responsible for complex technical tasks.
  • Provides technical guidance and direction to teams of professional and non-professional staff.
  • Outlines requirements, assigns tasks, and supervises progress to ensure that targets and specifications are being met.
  • Provides technical direction to project team members.
  • Provides coaching and mentoring for direct reports.

Expected
  • B.S. or equivalent degree in the Engineering discipline from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 15+ years relevant experience in major Brownfield oil & gas projects, including at least five (5) years in similar position.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience
  • Specific experience in Oil and Gas projects across their lifecycle in the GCC region, preferred
  • Pre-FEED, FEED experience is required
  • Detailed Engineering experience is preferred

The Key Objectives For This Role Are
  • Identifying potential risks through HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and LOPA studies.
  • Developing safety philosophies, safety distances, and technical safety reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with local and international safety standards like OSHA, NFPA, IEC, and API.
  • Conducting audits to verify adherence to safety protocols.
  • Designing fire protection systems and safety equipment layouts.
  • Coordinating with engineering teams to integrate safety measures into project designs

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Discipline engineer in one or more integrated in-house /contractor teams handling multiple project responsibilities
  • Execute technical work for FEED and Detailed Designs (designs, specifications, drawings, etc.) within designated CTR scopes
  • Maintain excellent HSE performance throughout the engineering phase of the project life cycle.
  • Implement, practice and Monitor Quality Management System (QMS) in FEED office projects in line with ISO and API Q2 2nd edition requirements
  • Carry out appropriate discipline and inter discipline checks and reviews of engineering and design work
  • Contribute to the development of execution contracting strategies that compliment designs, construction methods and operating methods
  • Remain engaged in design issues and decisions throughout construction, commissioning and start-up
  • Create demonstrable value for customers by understanding their drivers and critical success factors
  • Capture/apply internal and external learning's and incorporate improvements
  • Deliver continuously improving performance, benchmarked as top tier in the industry
  • Time write correctly each week
  • Ensure own discipline engineering and design work are successfully delivered and appropriate reviews conducted
  • Ensure quality of technical work and the technical integrity, functionality, constructability, safe operation and reliability of designs
  • Involved in multiple engineering reviews and provide sound design inputs
  • Contribute to excellent HSE performance throughout the engineering phase of the project life cycle
  • Maintain effective interfaces and relationships within/between disciplines, and peers in other EP Projects teams and Assets
  • Emphasize on Development of young TSE engineers
  • Provide guidance and advice on Technical Safety matters in a consistent manner in line with that agreed within the team

The key objectives for this role are :
  • Identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing control measures to prevent accidents.
  • Developing programs and policies to instill a strong safety mindset across the organization.
  • Conducting analyses like HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) to enhance safety in design and operations.
  • Investigating safety incidents and ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.
RESPONSIBILITIES Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities :
  • Fully responsible for engineering solutions to produce detailed design and specifications
  • Review and approve of deliverables prepared by other HSE Engineers within the HSE group
  • Being accountable for the quality of Technical Safety deliverables
  • Supporting and supervising task delegation to team
  • Participating in audits and incident investigations as required
  • Ensure that all project Health, Safety and Environmental policies are complied with
  • Ensure that design meets all Technical Safety requirements and maintains risks to as low as reasonably practicable
  • Achieving project completion to the project specifications on schedule
  • Participating in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshops when required and experience of coordinating HAZOP, HAZID, SIL Classification studies and other HSE workshops
  • Management of third party HSE consultants in the execution of engineering delivery / HSE workshops
  • Preparation of Tender Bid Evaluations and assessment of bids for procured fire and safety equipment, participate in vendor meetings
  • Able to interrogate and review 3rd party HSE studies such as QRA, FERA, EERA etc., as required
  • Able to perform Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling using PHAST (or similar) as required
  • Performance of Emergency Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Studies
  • Fire Protection and Engineering Design experience including preparation of Fire Water PID's, Performance of Fire Water demand calculations, Performance of Fire Water Hydraulic modelling using PIPENET or similar, Performance of Passive Fire Protection studies and drawings, Preparation of Fire and Gas Detection layouts, Safety Equipment layouts, Safety Signage etc.
  • Actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development
  • Self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start-up
  • Expert knowledge of design deliverables associated with loss prevention scopes
  • Experience of directing Management of Change (MOC) reviews
  • Able to perform Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling as required
  • Supporting and supervising task delegation to team
  • Executing assigned development objectives for team members
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start-up

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering / Loss Prevention / Environmental or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of ten (10+) years of relevant experience in the Offshore / Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including minimum (5) years (preferred) in GCC region
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, managing team of Specialists, Senior Engineers and Engineers
  • Must have strong FEED, Pre-FEED experience in Offshore projects, whilst ADNOC experience is desired
  • Chartered Engineer or recognized equivalent experience is an added advantage
  • Expert in own discipline knowledge requirements to provide support to the business
  • Experience of working on concept & FEED project phases
  • Have involvement in Conceptual studies for Fields developments projects
  • Experience in mega projects developments

  • Fire Protection and Engineering Design experience including preparation of Fire Water PID's, Performance of Fire Water demand calculations, Performance of Fire Water Hydraulic modelling using PIPENET or similar, Performance of Passive Fire Protection studies and drawings, Preparation of Fire and Gas Detection layouts, Safety Equipment layouts, Safety Signage etc.
  • Actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development
  • Self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start-up

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering / Loss Prevention/ Environmental or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of ten (10+) years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including minimum (5) years (preferred) in GCC region
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, managing team of Specialists, Senior Engineers and Engineers
  • Must have strong FEED, Pre-FEED experience in Offshore projects, whilst ADNOC experience is desired
  • Chartered Engineer or recognized equivalent experience is an added advantage
  • Expert in own discipline knowledge requirements to provide support to the business
  • Experience of working on concept & FEED project phases
  • Have involvement in Conceptual studies for Fields developments projects
  • Experience in mega projects developments

The Key Objectives For This Role Are
  • Identifying potential risks through HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and LOPA studies.
  • Developing safety philosophies, safety distances, and technical safety reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with local and international safety standards like OSHA, NFPA, IEC, and API.
  • Conducting audits to verify adherence to safety protocols.
  • Designing fire protection systems and safety equipment layouts.
  • Coordinating with engineering teams to integrate safety measures into project designs
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Discipline engineer in one or more integrated in-house /contractor teams handling multiple project responsibilities
  • Execute technical work for FEED and Detailed Designs (designs, specifications, drawings, etc.) within designated CTR scopes
  • Maintain excellent HSE performance throughout the engineering phase of the project life cycle.
  • Implement, practice and Monitor Quality Management System (QMS) in FEED office projects in line with ISO 9001-2015 and API Q2 2nd edition requirements
  • Carry out appropriate discipline and inter discipline checks and reviews of engineering and design work
  • Contribute to the development of execution contracting strategies that compliment designs, construction methods and operating methods
  • Remain engaged in design issues and decisions throughout construction, commissioning and start-up
  • Create demonstrable value for customers by understanding their drivers and critical success factors
  • Capture/apply internal and external learning’s and incorporate improvements
  • Deliver continuously improving performance, benchmarked as top tier in the industry
  • Time write correctly each week
  • Ensure own discipline engineering and design work are successfully delivered and appropriate reviews conducted
  • Ensure quality of technical work and the technical integrity, functionality, constructability, safe operation and reliability of designs
  • Involved in multiple engineering reviews and provide sound design inputs
  • Contribute to excellent HSE performance throughout the engineering phase of the project life cycle
  • Maintain effective interfaces and relationships within/between disciplines, and peers in other EP Projects teams and Assets
  • Emphasize on Development of young TSE engineers
  • Provide guidance and advice on Technical Safety matters in a consistent manner in line with that agreed within the team

  • Minimum 15 years' experience and 6 years in EPCM/ EPC experience
  • Bachelors in engineering degree or equivalent

We're seeking a seasoned Technical Safety Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing safety protocols for high-profile clients.

The role involves ensuring compliance with industry regulations, assessing risks, and developing strategies to prevent incidents and safeguard processes.

  • Main objectives include identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing control measures to prevent accidents.
  • Developing policies and programs to instill a strong safety culture within the organization.
  • Conducting analyses like HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) to enhance safety in design and operations.
  • Investigating safety incidents and ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.
Responsibilities:
  • Fully responsible for providing engineering solutions to produce detailed designs and specifications.
  • Review and approval of deliverables prepared by other HSE Engineers within the group.
  • Accountable for the quality of Technical Safety deliverables.
  • Supporting and supervising task delegation to the team.
  • Participating in audits and incident investigations as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with all project Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Designing solutions that meet all Technical Safety requirements and maintain risks to as low as reasonably practicable.
  • Achieving project completion to the project specifications on schedule.
  • Participating in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshops when required.
  • Management of third-party HSE consultants in the execution of engineering delivery/HSE workshops.
  • Preparation of Tender Bid Evaluations and assessment of bids for procured fire and safety equipment.
  • Able to interrogate and review 3rd party HSE studies such as QRA, FERA, EERA etc., as required.
  • Able to perform Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling using PHAST (or similar) as required.
  • Performance of Emergency Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Studies.
  • Fire Protection and Engineering Design experience including preparation of Fire Water PID's, Performance of Fire Water demand calculations, Performance of Fire Water Hydraulic modelling using PIPENET or similar, Performance of Passive Fire Protection studies and drawings, Preparation of Fire and Gas Detection layouts, Safety Equipment layouts, Safety Signage etc.
  • Maintaining own competence according to standards and pursuing continuous professional development.
  • Awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments.
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start-up.
  • Knowledge of design deliverables associated with loss prevention scopes.
  • Experience of directing Management of Change (MOC) reviews.
  • Able to perform Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling as required.
  • Supporting and supervising task delegation to the team.
  • Executing assigned development objectives for team members.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start-up.
