Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day support and maintenance of SAP S/4HANA applications across modules such as FI, CO, MM, SD, and HR.

Manage incident resolution, change requests, performance optimization , and system monitoring.

Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to ensure SAP systems align with operational needs.

Coordinate system upgrades, patches, and transport management in collaboration with Basis and ABAP teams.

Troubleshoot integration issues between SAP and non-SAP applications.

Conduct root cause analysis , document recurring issues, and implement permanent fixes.

Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure system stability, uptime, and security compliance .

Mentor junior support engineers and promote SAP best practices.

RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

achelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP support or technical maintenance roles.

Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA , including system configuration, transport management, and troubleshooting .

Proficiency in one or more core SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HR).

Experience in Application Management Services (AMS) , incident management, and service-level-based support environments.

Familiarity with SAP Basis operations , ABAP debugging , and integration using APIs, BAPIs, and IDOCs .

Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, Fiori, and cloud-hosted S/4HANA environments is a plus.

Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to lead small technical teams.

About Tavily and the Role

We’re looking for a Tech Lead to join Tavily and establish our new office in Abu Dhabi. You’ll lead a growing team of around 12 technical professionals and play a central role in building the foundation for Tavily’s operations in the region.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone with deep technical expertise and proven management experience who thrives in fast-paced, high-ownership environments.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and mentor a diverse technical team, ensuring excellence and collaboration
  • Build processes and systems that enable the team to scale efficiently and deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Stay hands-on with infrastructure and system architecture while guiding technical direction across the Abu Dhabi office
  • Collaborate with leadership to align local priorities with Tavily’s global strategy
  • Drive best practices in system reliability, scalability, and performance
  • Help shape the culture and growth of Tavily’s new international office
What You Bring
  • Proven expertise in backend and distributed systems (Python, APIs, AWS, Kubernetes/Argo), with a strong focus on building scalable and reliable infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI agents or RAG workflows in production environments
  • Deep understanding of retrieval strategies (dense, sparse, hybrid), context optimization, and methods to reduce hallucinations
  • Familiarity with modern agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or equivalent in-house systems
  • Demonstrated ability to design, own, and evolve complex system architectures
  • Track record of mentoring and leading multidisciplinary technical teams, setting direction and driving execution
  • Experience building and operating real-time, low-latency, large-scale systems
  • Strong background with databases such as Snowflake, MongoDB, and Redis
  • Practical experience with cloud-native architectures on AWS, from design to deployment
  • Comfortable thriving in fast-paced, high-ownership startup environments
