Senior level telecommunications engineer providing support for telecommunications and IT installations and upgrades.
This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities
Major Job Activities:
+ Provide Inside / Outside (I/O) cable plant engineering support, which includes complete technical solutions for telecommunications and IT upgrades and installations. All products produced by the contractor shall be in accordance with Telecommunication Industry Association (TIA) 758 standards.
+ Analyze technical requirements for telecommunications and IT services to and within facilities. The technical requirements analysis will assess projected mission, technology, infrastructure changes, and recommend capabilities for the new facilities.
+ Engineer the technical solution to meet USAFCENT-approved requirements.
+ Develop and execute cutover plans to integrate newly installed telecommunications and IT infrastructure. The cutover plans shall provide, as nearly as possible and practical, a seamless cutover of services from the old to the new infrastructure and systems.
+ Support the coordination of the cutover plan with the appropriate customers on and off post and with service and theater communications and IT agencies.
+ Tasks include:
+ Perform and document site surveys to support fiber optic, copper, and coaxial infrastructure requirements;
+ Prepare PSAs, to include specifications for allied support, minor construction, facility upgrades, equipment and materials, tools and test equipment, etc.;
+ Prepare working engineering project packages for installation teams with installation instructions, sketches, and list of materials;
+ Manage engineering installation and teams on engineering projects;
+ Brief key stakeholders (including commanders) on plans and/or status of projects.
Material & Equipment Directly Used:
Computers, printers, scanners, telephone and general office equipment.
Working Environment:
+ Working environment is a climate-controlled facility. Outdoor temperatures may exceed temperatures of 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
+ May require support during periods of non-traditional working hours including nights or weekends.
Physical Activities:
Must be able to lift / push / pull 40 lbs. unassisted.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications:
+ Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical, electronics, or computer engineering from an accredited University; OR
+ Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Outside Plant Design (Course/Certified); OR
+ USAF Engineering and Installation Project Engineering (Course/Certified).
+ U.S. Citizen
+ Active Secret Tier 3 Security Clearance.
Experience / Skills:
+ 6 years of practical experience in support of communications electronic systems or equipment; have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, understand IP routing and architecture design, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks.
+ 6 years of engineering experience in telecommunications and physical infrastructure.
+ 3 years of experience in military communication systems, as specified in the task order.

- Answer all guest questions / requests in a friendly and caring manner, take appropriate actions or if needed, refer the matters to the relevant persons to handle. It may be providing information or assistance to make an outside call or handling a complaint, etc.
- In case of emergency, to handle all communications for the hotel whilst serving as the communication center
- Keep a complete record of each DDD (Domestic Direct Dial) and IDD (International Direct Dial) Coordinate with front office reception all telephones charges to ensure they are billed and collected from guests
- Monitor TV channels in addition to outlets and public areas music to ensure smooth and proper functioning
- In case of emergency, handle all communications for the hotel whilst serving as the communication center
- Keep abreast of telephone directory, new staff and leavers, emergency procedures, special promotions and general hotel product knowledge
- Excellent organizational and effective communication skills
- Minimum 1-year experience in the same role in a luxury hotel is preferred
- Additional language will be a benefit
