Renewal & Cancellation of Guarantees:

  • Checking/releasing of timely Extension of Auto Renewal Guarantees & recovery of its commission.
  • Review & release of Cancellation of expired guarantee.

ODC & Export Tracers & Follow-ups:

  • Checking of timely tracers to Collecting banks for follow up on Acknowledgment / Payment / Acceptance.

TFD Helpdesk Inquiries:

  • Ensure timely and accurate responses to internal and external queries related to trade finance products and processes.
  • Responds to customers' inquiries and overcome objections, aiming at providing quality service for customers

Swift Alliance:

  • Releasing of SWIFT messages related to Export LCs / Outward Collections / Guarantees etc.
  • Review and release SWIFT messages via the SWIFT Alliance system in accordance with applicable standards and controls.

Compliance & Risk:

  • Conduct Trade-Based Money Laundering (TBML) checks as per regulatory and internal guidelines. Check / verify named parties in the SWS system
  • Check / verify customer's signature in the SigCap system.

MIS Reporting:

  • Ensures that daily position are correctly made / checked / compiled and proper follow up where required
  • Ensures that daily / monthly / quarterly annual returns / reconciliation / reports are checked compiled and submitted where required, to concerned departments.

Process Review & Improvement:

  • Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) periodically and suggest improvements where needed.

Automation:

Qualifications, Experiences & Technical Skills:

The Role
The Trade Finance Officer will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s trade finance operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions in line with international trade finance procedures. This role requires proficiency in handling Letter of Credit (LC) transactions, export document management, and strong liaising with banks and customers. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of UPSC (Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits) terms and extensive experience in international trade finance. Requirements
• Bachelor's/master’s degree in accounting & finance, or a related field. • 3-5 years of experience in international trade finance, preferably within the Multiple Commodities Trading, or related industry Specifically in UAE • Strong understanding of UPSC (Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits) and international trade terms. In-depth knowledge of export documentation, including but not limited to invoices, packing lists, COO, COA, and Bill of Lading. • Proficiency in handling LC opening, LC discounting, and document preparation as per the LC terms. • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with banks, customers, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Billing & Collections • Liaise with fee earners to ensure accurate billing, timely submissions, and compliance with firm and client protocols. • Support collection efforts by following up with clients to reduce aged debt and ensure adherence to agreed payment terms. • Monitor unbilled WIP and proactively escalate issues to relevant stakeholders. • Handle client invoice queries in collaboration with the finance team to ensure high-quality service. • Coordinate with the Billing Team on the review of unbilled disbursement costs. • Assist with WIP ledger reviews, track fee arrangements, and maintain financial hygiene. • Assist with month-end reporting, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. • Assist in reviewing the PWP report to determine third-party invoices that need payment. • Prepare the daily Finance Update and monthly Activity/Billing/Cash note. • Prepare monthly Team Margin Reports for all Practice Groups and P&L reports for all offices. • Review month-on-month expense trends and analyse/report actual vs. budget variances. • Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations for all Middle East offices in line with the Group Financial Control policy. • Assist the Financial Controller with monthly and quarterly close processes, including posting journals and intercompany reconciliations. • Support year-end audits and statutory accounts filing, liaising with the international offices and auditors. • Assist in Sales Tax and VAT filing to meet deadlines. • Work closely with the FP&A Manager on ad hoc reporting requests. • Maintain effective coordination between Finance and business units to support smooth financial operations.

Requirements
Skills • Preferred candidate will come from a finance and accounting background and possess a finance related Degree. • Demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. • Has a good understanding of basic computer packages including strong Microsoft Excel skills • Previous experience of SAP (or a similar Global Practice Management system) will be an advantage • Fluency in English, both spoken and written is mandatory. Fluency in Arabic is preferable but not essential • Law firm experience will be desirable.

Overview of the Role

As a Finance Systems Analyst, you will support the Head of Financial Systems & Transformation in managing the life cycle of key financial applications across the Automotive division. You will play a critical role in solution design, data integrity checks, performance tracking, and documentation, while acting as a bridge between Finance and IT to drive system transformation initiatives that align with business goals. A major focus in the near term will be supporting the SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) implementation project, alongside other key priorities.

What You Will Do
  • Provide business-side application support for financial systems such as SAC, SAP BPC, Power BI, MS Power Platform, Tableau, and Alteryx
  • Support the design, development, and configuration of planning and reporting applications
  • Help ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and integrity across IFRP, BI tools, and group reporting platforms
  • Support the development of management dashboards, forecast packs, and KPI tracking reports for the Automotive Leadership Team
  • Act as the liaison between Finance and IT to gather and translate business requirements into system configurations
  • Contribute to improvement initiatives in reporting systems, including cross-system integration and data quality enhancements
  • Deliver training sessions for finance users across the Automotive division to ensure effective adoption of financial systems
Required Skills to be Successful
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in financial systems support and planning tools
  • Strong foundational understanding of financial systems and FP&A or transformation-related business processes
