The Landscape Architect plays a key role in the design and delivery of landscape architecture projects, contributing to all stages from concept through to documentation. + Able to steer online research promptly and more effectively.
+ Read, qualify, quantify, and graphically represent landscape architecture standards applicable to projects and apply the same to design tasks. + Fully develops the design content by applying design and technical knowledge to ensure the production of high-quality outputs by following project timelines.

**Minimum Requirements**
1. Bachelor's Degree in **Architecture or Urban Design** from an accredited University
2. Candidates must be **recent 2024 or 2025 graduates** to be eligible for AECOM's Graduate Program.
3. Successful applicants must have achieved **a minimum GPA of 2.8** (or equivalent) and above.
4. **As part of AECOM's commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labour law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.**

Job Description:Principal Urban Designer
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Urban Designer to join our team! In this role you will get to work on different types of urban development projects that will change the fabric of our cities.
What You'll Be Doing:- Lead multidisciplinary team and ensure that team members are given clear instructions and guidance.
- Assign work to professional staff and ensure appropriate training is provided.
- Line manage both junior and senior members of the team, nurturing their professional growth.
- Prepare work programs to translate project objectives into detailed plans and take on the responsibility to subdivide work assignments and tasks to the project team.
- Lead Masterplanning and Urban Design projects at all stages (Pre-Concept, Concept and Detailed Masterplan).
- Perform and manage complex and sensitive professional urban planning and urban design tasks, research and analysis.
- Review, monitor, and ensure compliance with local and international standards.
- Gather, compile, and analyze data on economic, social, and physical factors affecting the developments.
- Develop technical inputs to support the delivery of high-quality plans, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain contact and coordination with multiple external agencies involved in translating the Government’s development mandate and master plan objectives into work plans through maintaining meaningful working relationships to facilitate a shared understanding.
- Support business development activities including the preparation of bids, pricing and content development.
- Prepare business presentations to promote the works of the Design and Planning studio.
- Support Key account management and nurture client relationships per business strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and Urban Design, Architecture or closely related field.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive urban planning and design experience working on a variety of projects.
- Experience and engagement with clients in the Middle East is a must.
- Experience in producing master plans, conceptual designs and illustrative layouts.
- Creative thinking and in-depth understanding of current best practices.
- Thorough understanding of local statutes and planning rules and regulations.
- Ability to involve and represent a wide range of diverse interests in the development planning and design process and to reconcile conflicting demands.
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability for performing in a lead capacity on a project.
- Proficiency in various design software and 3D modeling tools.
- Master's degree in urban planning/design or architecture.
- Professional certifications such as AICP, RTPI, RIBA.
- Ability to perform in a lead capacity on a project.
