Role and Responsibilities
  • UX Researchers own end-to-end planning, execution, analysis and reporting of research projects, and consistently achieve research outputs needed by Product teams to inform strategic decisions.
  • Lead core end-to-end research activities – including driving research objectives, hypotheses, methodology, execution, analysis, and communication.
Qualifications
  • Master Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology, Social Science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in consumer-facing business domains.
  • Excellent ability to plan, scope, conduct, analyze and communicate research.
  • Experience with qualitative and user-centered design methods (individual and group interviews, diary studies, direct observation, think-aloud usability testing, etc.).
  • Experience with quantitative research (metrics, survey design, sampling, cross-tabs, statistical concepts).
  • Experience in evaluating, negotiating, and working with external research vendors.
  • Ability to describe user problems and business opportunities to a variety of stakeholders using both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Strong critical thinking beyond explicit business requests; ability to challenge details of research requests and propose solid solutions.

Responsibilities

Overview

Product Design Lead (UI UX research & designing) - Digital banking/ Fintech

We have an urgent requirement for Product Design Lead for Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools, with digital banking/Fintech experience, for one of the banks in Abu Dhabi.

Requirements include: strong experience in digital product design in financial services (banking/Fintech/digital transformation) is MUST; strong experience in UX/UI, product design, and/or service design is MUST; strong experience in journey mapping, service blueprinting, and experience strategy is MUST; strong experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools is MUST; end-to-end product design (discovery, ideation, detailed design, prototypes, validation) within cross-functional product teams is MUST; experience in working in digital product design is MUST.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of end-to-end experiences, connecting digital products and offline touchpoints to deliver cohesive customer journeys.
  • Conduct service design activities including journey mapping, ecosystem mapping, service blueprinting, and opportunity identification.
  • Drive product design execution, from concept to delivery, producing intuitive and visually engaging interfaces.
  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and customers to uncover needs, validate concepts, and align on priorities.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Business Leads to ensure designs meet both user and business objectives.
  • Establish and contribute to design systems and reusable components that ensure consistency across products and services.
  • Translate customer research and data insights into actionable improvements for products, services, and processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, promoting a culture of design excellence and innovation.

Technical Skills & Knowledge
  • Experience with designing quality consumer products, as well as enabling business capability and objectives through technology
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who is self-motivated, but also a team player with a professional presence
  • Graphical and Visual Design skills using Adobe suite, Figma, Sketch or other tools for product design
  • Experience with conducting user research, usability testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping
  • Knowledge of Agile software development process

Previous Experience
  • Must have previous experience of working in digital product design in financial services (banking/Fintech/digital transformation)
  • Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent area
  • Experience managing a team of UI/UX designers
  • Ability to communicate with different departments of a multi-national and dynamic organization
  • Experience with design tools like Sketch, Adobe Suite and Figma
  • Experience with conducting user research, usability testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping
  • Knowledge of Agile software development process

Knowledge of Design Systems is a plus.
