• Waste collection
• Hazardous waste treatment
• Wastewater treatment
• Recycling services, plants and equipment
• Incineration plants
The Waste Management Specialist develops detailed mobilization plans and approaches for new projects. He develops detailed equipment lists, including vehicles and heavy equipment, PPE, uniforms, tools, supplies etc. He creates staffing plans and organization charts, shift rosters and rotations, and job-specific training plans.
The Waste Management Specialist develops detailed SOPs for all aspects of the waste management services. He creates plans for customer service and contract/project management systems and solutions. He is responsible for complete cost planning and estimating for all waste management services, plants, equipment, vehicles, personnel, training, uniforms, PPE, operational support, public information campaigns, control systems, etc. He creates assessment plans and templates and develops the assessment team structure.
He provides leadership on health and safety and international standards.
Experience:
• 10 years' experience in waste management
• Mobilizing new contracts in new and established territories
• Operational experience in Africa, Eurasia, the Far East or Australasia
Background and character:
• English education, with good writing skills
• Attention to detail
• Flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing requirements
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify key client drivers in the business development cycle through the bidding process
