Job Description
Work and supervise all activities related to well intervention and workover operations in PE Group to efficiently carry out all preparations, implementation and close-out works. Prepare work programs, execute and supervise jobs to meet Management expectations. Participate in job design including preparation of detailed technical specifications, execution of technical evaluation and support to establish required contracts for all well intervention, well services and workover related services and purchases. Be responsible for work order preparation and coordinate with service contractors on technical matters for both Rig and Rigless side. Work site well intervention /workover engineer as well to support the Rig and Rigless operations in a safe and efficient manner. Prepare all technical
documents including work instruction, program and end of well reports both on Rig and Rigless side.
Desired Candidate Profile
Knowledge
- Higher education qualifications, preferably with a Engineering Degree e.g. Mechanical, Petroleum or Reservoir Engineering with good understanding of well construction process including well control and ability to analyse and troubleshoot problems.
- Possess higher knowledge on slickline and Coiled Tubig Operations
- Fully understand all aspects of well construction engineering, operations, management, HSE management and logistics.
- Have a strong contractor management skill to establish best suitable organization and contracting strategy for the project.
- Fully understand IS014001/0HSAS 18001 model HSE Management System to cost effectively and systematically manage the program in a sound safe and environmentally friendly manner.
- Understand various aspects of new technologies on well interventions and workover projects.
- Familiar with HSE standards and procedures and HSE cultures.
- Have capacity to carry out bidding process including technical and commercial evaluation with minimum supervision.
Experience
- 15 year’s work experience in well intervention and workover activities across multiple well locations.
- A minimum 5 years in a well-site engineer position for jack-up well construction activity.
- Experience for offshore well intervention operations under H2S environment.
- Experience operation in Middle East Offshore and be familiar with the potential risks and issues.
Skills
- Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and instructions
Training
T-BOSIET, H2S Awareness and IWCF Level 4
Professional engineering skills, high level of supervisory skills and communication skills with the flexibility to deal with several different functional disciplines to achieve program objectives
Well Intervention/Workover Operations
- Prepare well intervention /workover programs to ensure that such operations can be safely and efficiently achieved.
- Execute and adhere to Development Unit Operation Management System (BOOMS) to meet all requirements related for rig and rigless operations.
- Prepare equipment and procedural changes through Management of Change process to increase operational efficiency of the overall operations.
- Prepare and participate in detailed technical specifications required in bid documents for well intervention /workover related services and materials.
- Participate in technical and commercial evaluations for all well intervention and rigless related services and materials while bid evaluation stage. In addition, prepare technical and award recommendation reports to be submitted.
- Participate in a pre-spud meeting for all well intervention activities in town.
- Attend and participate in t e c h n i c a l and HAZID/SIMOPS workshops as well as a peer review meeting to discuss well programs.
- Prepare and participate in each well program for well intervention, well services and well integrity related works.
Rig and Rigless Well Intervention Operations and Executions
- Supervise well intervention and workover operations on Rig/Rigless as set forth in approved program and in compliance with code of practices, applicable regulations and International Accepted Petroleum Industry Practices.
- Ensure that all well objectives are delivered in a timely manner that safeguards the health and safety of all personnel on the rig and wellhead platforms, the environment and protection of assets.
- Prepare/participate any major change of the well intervention/workover programs in accordance with "Management of Change" process.
- Review "Daily Drilling and Well Workover Report" and monitor and evaluate well conditions.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental policies, standards and procedures related to drilling operations subject to a HSE bridging document agreed with rig contractor.
- Ensure that all Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPs) activities are performed in a safe manner in compliance with procedures if applicable.
- Attend and participate in all s a f e t y meetings, and pre-job safety meetings to ensure that any risks associated with performing any tasks are reduced to as low as reasonably practical. Promote the right to stop work, if hazards are likely to cause an incident. to all personnel.

**Responsibilities**

- Coordinate with local sales teams to assess manpower needs for field service engineers.
- Ensure adequate manpower availability to support downhole activity development across all geo-markets.
- Work with local field service managers to optimize resource utilization.
- Organize temporary allocation of field service engineers outside their geographical areas when required.
- Oversee reporting of service activities for downhole operations.
Development of Service Activity
- Identify new service needs and collaborate with relevant departments to develop solutions.
- Support global sales teams in promoting the service portfolio and creating strong value propositions.
- Establish and review Scope of Work (SOW) for service contracts as necessary.
QHSE Compliance
- Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental control procedures and instructions.
- Report unsafe acts, incidents, or violations.
- Foster a safety culture by ensuring all staff comply with HSE policies and procedures.
- Participate in QHSE audits, incident reporting, customer claim investigations, and performance reviews.
- Ensure consistent service quality delivery across all field service teams worldwide.
- Encourage sharing and development of best practices among field service teams.
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills
Required Qualifications :
- Preferably a degree in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering.
Preferred Experience :
- 5–10 years of experience managing Drilling & Workover Services operations (Tubular Running Services), including resource allocation.
- 5–10 years of field experience in Drilling & Workover Services (Tubular Running Services).
Job-Specific Skills :
- Strong expertise in Drilling and Workover operations and services.
- Extensive experience in Tubular Running Services (TRS).
- Adequate experience in fiberglass pipe manufacturing and installation.
- A commercial mindset to identify and develop new service opportunities.
