Job Description
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, integrating traditional medical approaches with functional medicine to identify root causes of health issues.
- Develop personalized wellness plans that encompass nutrition, lifestyle changes, and supplementation tailored to individual patient needs.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and tests to gain deeper insights into patients' metabolic and physiological functions.
- Foster strong patient relationships through effective communication, education, and support, encouraging active participation in their health journey.
- Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in functional medicine to provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nutritionists and mental health specialists, to create a holistic care team for patients.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress, feedback, and emerging health concerns.
- Conduct regular follow-ups to evaluate the effectiveness of wellness strategies and address any barriers to adherence.
- Lead wellness workshops and seminars focused on preventive health practices and lifestyle integration for patients and the community.
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans meticulously, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a primary care setting, with a focus on functional medicine or wellness.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory, additional languages such as Spanish or Mandarin are a plus for diverse patient interactions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care, fostering trust and open communication.
- Medical degree (MD or DO), with a preference for additional training in functional medicine or integrative health.
- Board certification in family medicine or internal medicine, with a strong foundation in holistic health practices.
