Key Responsibilities:- Interpret medical imaging results to assess patient conditions and plan further care.
- Identify necessary diagnostic images and provide instructions to radiologic technologists.
- Administer small doses of radioactive materials to enhance diagnostic imaging quality.
- Perform minimally invasive procedures, including angioplasty, embolization, and ablation, under image-guided techniques.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technicians to deliver comprehensive treatment and pain management.
- Monitor patient progress, evaluate responses to treatment, and adjust care plans as required.
- Develop tailored radiation therapy plans for oncology patients.
- Address and manage side effects related to radiation treatments for cancer patients.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Completion of a specialized radiology degree with a 5-year residency program.
- Active state license to practice as a radiologist.
- Demonstrated expertise in relevant diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Adherence to medical regulations and hospital protocols.
- Preferred 3-5 years of experience in the radiology field.

Provides support and assistance across a range of medical procedures within the Medical Imaging, including aiding in the execution and monitoring of Nuclear Medicine Cardiac Stress Tests, performing renal Creatinine blood tests using POCT, and assisting in Gastrostomy tube changes or replacements. Assists with the insertion, accessing, blood sampling, flushing, locking, and non-coring needle removal of Implanted ports, as well as aiding in Lumbar Punctures, Paracentesis, Percutaneous liver biopsies, Percutaneous Nephrostomy Tube Insertions, and various tasks related to Peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC), such as blood sampling, dressing changes, flushing, locking, and drug administration. Assists in the administration of Moderate Sedation and supporting procedures like Thoracentesis and Transjugular liver biopsies.
ResponsibilitiesGeneral:
- Provides age-specific patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process.
- Performs patient assessment using appropriate, problem-focused, and age-specific assessment techniques.
- Performs continual critical care assessment of patient and family's physical and psychological needs.
- Involves the patient, significant others, and health care providers in the plan of care when appropriate.
- Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to provide patient care.
- Coordinates and plans critical care/clinical pathway, and prioritizes care, based on individual needs. Revise the care plan as necessary.
- Initiates appropriate transfer plan.
- Recognizes subtle cues to anticipate potential problems.
- Documents all relevant data in the medical record according to hospital/departmental standards.
- Ensures availability and maintenance of supplies and equipment needed for the unit and patient care.
- Performs clerical duties when needed.
- Assumes responsibility for meeting Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) required mandatory education (e.g. fire, safety, infection control and others).
- Participates in staff meetings and unit committees/projects.
- Participates in developing and achieving unit goals.
- Maintains a safe environment for patients and staff.

Unit Specific:
- Assists in administering conscious sedation as ordered by a consultant for the patient during a Radiology procedure.
- Monitors patients during conscious sedation and document vitals.
- Aids in conducting and overseeing Nuclear Medicine Cardiac Stress Tests.
- Performs renal Creatinine blood test utilizing POCT.
- Supports in executing Gastrostomy tube change or replacement.
- Aids in the insertion of the Implanted port.
- Assists in accessing the Implanted port.
- Helps with Implanted port blood sampling.
- Assists in flushing and locking the Implanted port.
- Aids in removing the Implanted port non-coring needle.
- Supports in conducting Lumbar punctures.
- Assists in performing Paracentesis.
- Aids in executing Percutaneous liver biopsy.
- Assists in conducting Percutaneous Nephrostomy Tube Insertion.
- Helps with Peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) blood sampling.

- Assists in administering drugs via Peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC).

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (minimum of three (3) years full-time course duration) or
- Degree in Nursing (minimum two (2) years course duration) and Registration as a Registered Nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia.
- For UAE nationals graduates of UAE or non-UAE universities are exempted from the experience and clinical training requirements for the applied title. (UAE nationals must submit a copy of their birth certificate and the mother's family book).
- Non-UAE national graduates from UAE universities are required to successfully complete six (6) months of clinical training post-graduation in an APS health facility (except for Registered and assistant Nurse titles).
- Must hold a valid License/Registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (where applicable).
- Must hold a minimum of a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or others according to the scope of practice.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent post-graduate experience in Medical Imaging Nursing.
