The role will also be responsible for setting up the different positions with the Finance Unit.
The ideal candidate will combine financial acumen with strong leadership and planning skills and possess a thorough understanding of the budgeting, accounting, and procurement functions within academic institutions. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in guiding the organization’s financial health, stability, and sustainability while aligning operations with institutional, strategy goals, and regulatory frameworks. ResponsibilitiesThe Mechanical Design Team Leader responsibilities include creating conceptual models, detailed drawings, specifications, documentation, assemblies, and user manuals. Provide support to other designers, documentation controllers, and PDM administrators.
- Review all drawings prepared by designers to enhance quality and ensure smooth production of our products.

- Oversee PDM implementation with the PDM administrator and design team, ensuring design files are maintained according to best practices with complete records for every design.
- Train and provide technical support to new designers in drawing preparation to maintain high quality standards.
- Design and develop mechanical product components from concept through production.
- Conduct design analysis and optimization of mechanical components, including considerations of design-for-manufacturability and cost.
- Select components and materials based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
- Utilize computer aided engineering design and analysis software in the design and development (such as 3D modeling, FEM analysis, etc.).
- Develop mechanical design documentation including drawings, specifications, etc.
- Develop assembly manuals, procedures and instructions and may train operations and maintenance personnel.
- Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.
- Handle contacts with material distributors, subcontractors and manufacturers to create a high-quality product.
