About the opportunity

Talabat’s advertising ecosystem includes a range of solutions to meet our restaurant Partners’ growth ambitions. These include top-of-funnel awareness products such as Display banners, consideration products like cost-per-click based Premium Listings and Keywords, as well as conversion-specific targeted Discounts and promotions.

In this fast-paced and high-intensity setup, the Sr. Manager - Advertising Sales role will lead regional strategy and execution to accelerate our advertising revenue. The scope involves leading a team of 3-4 Program Managers and acting as a key connector for our Sales teams across 8 markets, the central tech team in Berlin, the local Product team in Dubai, and other stakeholders. This person will bring thought leadership based on their strong advertising experience, particularly within an e-commerce environment.

  • Act as a single-threaded owner responsible for delivering annual, quarterly, and monthly advertising revenue goals for Talabat’s Food business.
  • Possess strong understanding of e-commerce advertising setup, including products, measurement, and metrics across CPC, Display, Video, DSP, etc.
  • Identify strategic initiatives to support Account Managers in delivering upsell, cross-sell, acquisition, and retention pitches to grow restaurant Partners.
  • Drive priorities such as increasing penetration, sales enablement, goal setting, and scaling long-term commitments.
  • Partner with product teams to shape mid- to long-term strategies and roadmaps for advertising products.
  • Become an expert on Talabat advertising solutions and craft tailored recommendations based on advertiser needs.
  • Demonstrate proactive ownership to see solutions through and close deals efficiently by collaborating closely with stakeholders.
  • Solve ambiguous problems and mitigate risks proactively.
  • Utilize deep-dive data analysis to identify actionable insights.
What you need to be successful
  • 10+ years of total work experience, with at least 5+ years in advertising sales within an e-commerce company.
  • Minimum of 5+ years leading direct teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience using data and analytics to drive sales strategies and results in an advertising context.
  • Experience collaborating with product teams on feature development and roadmaps.
  • Proven ability to engage with C-level sales and build strategic partnerships.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

• 1-3 years of sales management experience in digital marketing, media, publishing, events or a related commercial field. • Strong commercial network and understanding of the GCC media landscape • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth. • Strong relationships with advertising agencies and direct clients. (Technology sector is a plus) • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. • Familiarity with CRM tools and practices. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus). • Ability to analyze sales metrics, market data, and adjust strategies as needed. Preferred Skills: • In-depth knowledge of the media and digital marketing sectors. • Strong problem-solving and client relationship management skills.

  • 2+ years of experience working in a PSP, Acquirer or similar

  • Experience in a B2B Enterprise Account Management and/or Relationship Management role in the FinTech and/or Payments industry

  • A strategic problem solver with excellent project management skills

  • Customer driven and able to establish robust relationships with assigned customer base

  • Multifaceted approach adapting to changing requirements with the ability to balance multiple opportunities

  • Proven consultative sales abilities and proven ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across multiple departments and influencing all levels within an external organisation

Job Description

Checkout.com is actively looking for a strategic-thinking, resourceful and highly driven Account Manager to nurture and maintain long-term relationships with our Enterprise merchants. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the most successful FinTech companies at a turning point of its global expansion.

You will be the business advisor and main point of contact to a merchant post integration process. You will act as the voice of our product and ambassador of our brand, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to our merchants. Key for success here will be the ability to apply your business savvy knowledge and the required gravitas to effectively communicate and influence at all levels to achieve win-win scenarios and promote the value proposition.

What you'll be doing:

  • Crafting merchant specific account development plans focusing on revenue generation
  • Building high touch, consultative and positive relationships with our merchants through regular and open communications
  • Delivering expertise, education, and guidance to merchants as they craft and complete a comprehensive, global payments strategy.
  • Analyse merchant's performance and provide recommendations to improve the payment flow /revenue
  • Focusing on exceeding strategic and financial targets of our merchants by analysing active payment products, transaction volumes, and service levels
  • Understanding the intricacies of our products, services and partner networks thoroughly to leverage as needed to meet our merchants' needs
