About the Role

As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating the adoption and implementation of Agile methodologies within our organization.

Your primary goal will be to ensure that the Scrum process is used as intended, aligning the Development Team with the Scrum framework values and principles. You will also focus on continuous improvement, encouraging team self-organization and empowerment.

In this role, you will facilitate Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Product Backlog refinement, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, release planning, and other team activities as required. You will work closely with the Technical Delivery Manager, Program Manager, and Business Experts to ensure visibility and resolution of technical and business challenges.

Main Responsibilities

• Facilitate Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Product Backlog refinement, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, release planning, and other team activities as required.
• Support the Product Owner in writing effective Product Backlog Items and maintaining prioritized backlogs for multiple products.
• Ensure planning meetings fully prepare the team for upcoming Sprints and releases.
• Coach teams on Agile concepts and ensure continuous improvement.
• Track, resolve, and report incidents and known errors through approved processes.
• Establish proactive steps to address quality delivery issues.

Requirements

Role Description:

hVIVO conducts human challenge clinical trials. The end goal of our clinical trials is to potentially eradicate common illnesses like the common cold and flu completely – or at least make treatment of them as easy and effective as possible. Volunteers are central to the work that we do. Our studies focus on testing new treatments on real people, in a safe, controlled, clinical environment.

The Principal Scientist will take a lead role in the scientific development of all lab operational staff. Working with line managers, they will develop training plans and materials and deliver study lead/study management training programs.

This is a client-facing role, involving detailed scientific discussions to support clients in the setup of their projects. This includes needing a detailed technical understanding of all lab assays and processes, as well as a detailed understanding of the fields of virology or immunology.
