What you'll do:

  • Lead Product Analytics team across multiple domains within the EA ecosystem, distributed across the globe collaborating with cross-functional teams on multiple subdomains.
  • Develop strategy to leverage data analysis and visualization as a strategic competitive advantage to Careem.
  • Growing and coaching the analysts to be storytellers of data, giving it a voice and a high signal actionable narrative.
  • Collaborate and influence leadership to allow the Product Analytics team’s work to directly impact the organization’s strategy.
  • Partner with senior business leaders and partners to manage project intake, pipeline, prioritize, and manage staffing against key initiatives.
  • Execute on Product strategy, planning and execution through actionable data insights and data driven concepts.
  • Define, instrument, and maintain new and existing business critical metrics, using SQL queries and beyond.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the data engineering team; collaborate on building / maintaining ETLs, pipelines and automations to ensure we can understand and act on business performance accurately, scalably, with low latency, and minimal manual upkeep.
  • Run experiments and develop dashboards and data visualizations to communicate results to leadership. Provide rigorous technical mentorship to the team.
  • Ensure data quality by monitoring performance, diagnosing issues, and creating solutions.
  • Answer complex business questions via ad-hoc SQL queries to enable business and product owners to make critical decisions.

What you'll need:

  • 10+ years of professional full-time experience in analytics roles, preferably in tech.
  • 5+ years of experience directly managing analytical teams.
  • Strong command of SQL, Python and R, and experience working with large datasets.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with changing priorities.
  • Experience building intuitive and impactful dashboards and data visualizations that drive business decisions (using Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Project management skills- ability to drive projects end-to-end.
  • Communication and stakeholder management skills - Ability to build consensus by clearly communicating and presenting information.
  • Teamwork - You care about your team and are passionate about helping them succeed, you love going heads down in SQL, but can also take a step back and understand the big picture.
  • Strong experience in setting up, managing, and growing an analytics team.
  • Strong track record in delivering high impact from data through leading multiple cross-functional projects.
  • Track record of shipping new products and iterating on them over time.

The Day to Day

As a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant, you will be at the forefront of transforming businesses through advanced analytics, data management, and strategic insights. Your expertise in business intelligence and passion for delivering impactful solutions will make you an invaluable asset to our global clientele.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business objectives and challenges, and translate them into data-driven solutions.

Conduct in-depth data analysis, employing advanced techniques and tools to extract valuable insights and identify growth opportunities.

Design and develop robust business intelligence solutions, including data models, dashboards, and reports, to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

Lead end-to-end project implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, and deployment.

Provide strategic guidance and consulting services to clients, advising on best practices, industry trends, and data-driven decision-making strategies.

Conduct workshops, trainings, and knowledge-sharing sessions to empower clients in utilizing business intelligence tools and technologies effectively.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, and consulting roles.

Strong expertise in Data Vault modeling technique, including the ability to design and implement Data Vault structures for scalable and flexible data integration.

Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.

Solid understanding of SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.

Experience in building and optimizing Data Vault-based data warehouses, including the development of Data Vault models, satellite tables, and hub-link-schema relationships.

Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks for Data Vault modeling and development.

Strong knowledge of advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning.

Proven track record of successfully delivering end-to-end business intelligence projects using Data Vault methodology and driving positive business outcomes.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients at all levels of the organization.

Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively to client locations worldwide.

Interested in working on an innovative and high-impact business that is changing the way customers think about grocery? The MENA Grocery team (UFG) is offering a role to own building new business from ground Zero.
Quality of Meat, Seafood, Produce and Perishable is a critical objective for Amazon Ultra-Fast-Grocery (UFG) business and one of the key differentiators for Amazon UFG customers. Category Quality team is the one responsible for ensuring that we consistently meet and exceed on that high bar. As part of this team, your primary responsibility will be to assist vendors in optimizing their operations to meet and exceed the Amazon quality bar for Meat, Seafood, Produce and Perishable on a daily basis. Beyond day-to-day inspection, you will be expected to drive process improvement initiatives and actively participate in stakeholder meetings.
You will play a critical role in improving customer satisfaction metrics, bringing buying efficiency for Fresh produce, and reducing damage / expiry due to bad produce quality. This will require collaboration with various internal teams, including instock managers, vendor managers, store operation managers and fulfillment partners. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and execution skills to handle daily operations and continuously drive process improvements and automation.
Key job responsibilities
- Review the quality of Meat, Seafood, Fruits, Vegetables, Eggs, and other perishable items during the inbound at Amazon stores, hubs and vendors sites
- Reject the damaged/defective items back to the vendor
- Make a note of the items rejected during the inbound (by item/by vendor, quantity)
- Audit the quality during picking & packing process performed by the LPC associates
- Monitor the Packaging standards during packing process
- Perform daily audit of Bins and share weekly/daily report with the stakeholders
- Train the store and hub associates on quality, SOPs and packaging.
- The role might require work over weekend but not exceeding 40 hours work week

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Experience with Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
HACCP, PIC 3 (Person In Charge) - certified by Dubai Municipality, ISO 22000, GMP, Food Safety
Knowledge of fruits and Vegetable Quality specifications, familiar with Dubai F&V Market - Al Aweer central fruit Market
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet Amazon's high-quality standards.
Experience communicating to senior management and customers verbally and in writing
