Key Responsibilities Data Infrastructure & Governance- Support the rollout of a master data management concept across all systems (ERP, PLM, CRM, POS, e-commerce).

As an Engineer, Business Intelligence (BI) you will be operating database cluster and designing various analytical reports at one of Allot's key accounts. As a BI Engineer, you will be working with different business teams within customers organization, collecting their requests, and create new/update existing BI reports to accommodate business needs. You will also be responsible in monitoring and maintaining database cluster health in optimal condition.
What You Will Do
- Work with Customer Network/Business teams , collect analytical requirements and create /update BI reports
- Develop new reports proactively based on the best practices from other Allot deployments
- Present the report to end customer
- General services as required including installation of software maintenance updates for database servers and solutions
- Work within customers change management and maintenance window guidelines
- Collaborate with Allot team to follow best practices in report development
- Accountability for Case management and ensuring that they are resolved
- Providing consultative support and mentor other less experienced team members
- Positive contribution towards quality reviews for other colleagues and peers
Requirements:
What Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM program
- 5+ years of applicable experience
- Adept at the use of BI reporting tools such as Microstrategy, Power BI , Tableau etc
- Knowledge in data modeling, data schemas
- Knowledge in database operations and optimization on platforms such as Vertica , Microsoft SQL Server, OracleDB etc
- Knowledge in database query optimization, query profiling, and query performance monitoring tools and techniques.
- Creating and maintaining business requirements and other technical documentation.
- Commanding knowledge of Unix based operating systems such as Linux, FreeBSD etc
- Excellent technical background with a strong understanding of networking (specifically IP related technologies)
- Good experience in Data communication industry with different operator networks for Wireline (Cable, DSL, FTTH) and/or Wireless (Satellite, Wi-Fi, LTE, GPRS-3G, CDMA-3G, WiMAX, GSM, UMTS,4G and 5G)
Additional Knowledge And Skills
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Java, C/C++, python, Perl etc
- Experience with web technologies (Javascript, HTML5, HTTP, Angular, .)
- Exposure to and understanding of web application concepts like P2P, VoIP, WAP, MMS, RTSP
- Knowledge of industry models and best practices (eg. Scrum, ITIL etc)
- Experience with modern web applications using Ajax and REST API's will be advantageous
