Handle all import shipments from shipment creation to delivery
Coordinate with internal teams (e.g. product lines control tower) and external parties (freight forwarders carriers)
Prepare required documentation for customs clearance
Review documents from the sending location and arrange required authority approvals (e.g. FANR e-DAS ESMA TRA MOI MOH etc.)
Request and follow up with origin countries for pre-alerts and update milestones in SAP
Coordinate clearance instructions with agents and ensure timely delivery
Keep WME updated and maintain a well-organized shipment file system
Arrange International Freight Invoice and COO and gather clearance charges from agents
Maintain shipment reports including shipment number declaration number product line agent name and costs
Respond to emails and ensure timely updates to stakeholders
Requirements
2 3 years of relevant experience in logistics
Strong knowledge of customs laws port regulations and coordination with port authorities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong customer service skills

We are seeking a highly skilled and diligent Customs Operation/Clearance Executive to join our operations in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end customs clearance process for import and export shipments, ensuring strict compliance with all local UAE customs laws and international trade regulations. Key duties and responsibilities:
- Extensive knowledge of import and export procedures including Dubai local and Jebel Ali freezone customs rules and regulations.
- Strong understanding of Dubai customs and DP World regulations.
- Proficiently executed customs clearance, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Coordinated with MOFAIC for attestation of import documents.
- Knowledgeable in customs BOE passing, document submissions, non-remittance, and refund claims.
- Preparation of exit documents for VAT Claim purposes.
- Managing the complete customs clearance process for import/export shipments (Sea, Air, and Land).
- Arranging timely DO collections and clearances upon shipment arrival.
- Coordinating with transporters to ensure on-time delivery.
- Assisting customers in preparing accurate shipping documents for BE processing
- Reviewing and approving shipping documents while ensuring they are complete and accurate.
- Managing the archiving of proper documents for customs audit purposes.
- Creating FIRS and other Dubai Local import permit required for the shipment.
- Applying Country of Origin ( COO Certificate )-Dubai Chamber.
- Gate Pass – To give the permission to enter a vehicle in and out of Jebel Ali free zone through the gate.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain. Experienced in Import/Export.

About you and this role
Manages the companys regional efforts to ensure regulatory compliance for all aspects of importing or exporting ensuring trade regulatory compliance. Requires broadened conceptual and working knowledge and experience in job discipline to perform a range of work assignments. Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations and receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Analyzes possible solutions using technical experience judgment and precedents to solve this role you will require understanding of key business drivers for your discipline and function. You will need to be able to expand conceptual and working knowledge related to your discipline or functional area. You are expected to provide informal guidance to new team members and be able to explain complex information to is your responsibility to use technical experience established practices and personal judgement to analyze and resolve straightforward problems. Your performance impacts the quality of your own work and your teams work and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for any import or export related operational issues
- Understands the legal framework and policy restrictions for export or import control regimes and maintains processes for appropriate government agencies and system routines to comply
- Acts as contact point for businesses and other functions for advice and assistance in case of non-standard import/export-related operational issues or questions
- Implements new procedures/changes relative to outcome of e.g. government audits and new regulations
- Investigates regulatory implications for new business flows/material flows
- Requests licenses and ensures compliance with the conditions in the licenses
Qualifications
- Required education: University Degree preferably in Supply Chain Management Business Engineering or other Sciences
- Required experience: 3-6 years of experience in a Supply Chain or Manufacturing environment
- The critical competencies required for success are: supply chain management skills interpersonal effectiveness understanding customer needs and single work process activities and interactions team work taking initiative problem solving skills value creation technical proficiency in use of computer applications analytical skills and project management skills

We are responsible for the global trade compliance program and policy having a diverse team currently located in Finland China the USA Mexico India and Malaysia. We support the business strategically by working advising and training on a broad range of trade compliance topics such as customs tariffs country of origin export controls and import/export regulations. We work in close cooperation with KONEs global functions Areas and local country units to develop KONEs trade compliance environment and processes throughout the companys operations.
We are looking for a Trade Compliance Manager to be responsible for the geographical area of the Middle East Trkiye and Africa to join our team. The role will be based in the UAE reporting to Area Trade Compliance Manager APM & China.
In this role you will:
Monitor & implement relevant regulatory developments applicable to the KONE environment
Advice and train business units and global functions on trade compliance subject matters such as customs tariffs country of origin and free trade agreements
Take lead in developing applicable trade compliance processes and participate in key projects as asubject matter expert
Support in customs and other relevant audits
Liaise with internal parties such as procurement logistics tax legal compliance and local business units and external parties such as customs brokers and relevant authorities.
The preferred location of the role is in Dubai the United Arab Emirates.
We are looking for candidates with:
Minimum 8 years of relevant trade compliance experience
Suitable educational background e.g. with international trade logistics economics or other relevant education
Knowledge of trade compliance regulatory requirements in the area of Middle East Trkiye and Africa
Understanding of customs tariff classification practice country of origin & free trade agreement requirements and customs valuation
Willingness to continuously develop own expertise in the field of trade compliance
High motivation to work as part of a global team with the ability to make effective decisions and drive issues promptly
Strong compliance mindset
Experience of independently managing cross-functional activities in a changing environment
Experience of working in an international and multicultural environment with a record of managing both internal and external stakeholders
The ability to collect manage and analyze data in a structured and efficient manner and to identify key issues and root causes
The ability to summarize and present complex facts to non-specialist audiences
Availability and willingness to travel worldwide when necessary
Strong technical skills including MS Office SAP are an advantage
Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage
