This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative airport logistics environment. As Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of airport baggage and cargo handling systems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Site Manager in day-to-day operations and site management.

  • Manage and control snag lists, working closely with the Construction, T&C, and QA teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform general administrative duties, providing backup support for colleagues in case of absence or workload surges, and assist with document translations when required.
  • Support T&C (Testing and Commissioning) coordination and related activities to ensure successful project completion.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, security, environmental, and quality standards, adhering to all relevant regulations and best practices to maintain a safe and secure work environment.

Role Summary: The Customs Clearance Specialist is responsible for handling all customs-related processes for local and international shipments in the UAE. This includes preparing and submitting accurate documentation, coordinating with UAE customs authorities (such as Dubai Customs, Abu Dhabi Customs, and free zone customs), and working with freight forwarders to ensure timely clearance of goods.

The role helps prevent delays by making sure all paperwork meets UAE customs and trade requirements. The specialist also stays up to date with local laws, GCC customs rules, and VAT regulations to keep the company compliant and avoid fines or issues.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Customs Documentation: Prepare and process all customs documentation, including import/export declarations, commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other relevant paperwork.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable customs laws, regulations, and trade agreements, as well as company policies.
  • Customs Clearance Process: Submit customs declarations to customs authorities and ensure timely clearance of goods to avoid delays or fines.
  • Liaison with Customs Authorities: Act as the primary point of contact between customs authorities, shipping companies, and the company to resolve any customs issues or discrepancies.
  • Tariff Classification & Duties: Calculate and verify customs duties, tariffs, and taxes, ensuring accuracy and minimizing costs.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customs documents and transactions.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or delays related to customs clearance, including working with customs brokers or third-party service providers.
  • Consultation & Advice: Provide guidance to internal teams or clients regarding import/export regulations, classification of goods, and documentation requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the customs clearance process, such as non-compliance or delays, and take proactive measures to mitigate these risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in logistics and supply chain management
  • Minimum 4 years of Customs Clearance or Cross Border experience required.
  • Experience in or exposure to logistics and ecommerce, preferred.

  • Develop required marketing support in cooperation with Corporate Communications to promote our product offering and personalise customer engagement through campaigns management.
  • Promote and support safety initiatives and strategy to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Negotiate with customers on contracts and agreements to ensure optimum price with the best quality in line with dnata standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or Honours
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in sales or account management, ideally with contract negotiation exposure in a large organisation
  • Relevant industry experience preferably within ground handling airport operations, travel management, engineering, or ancillary revenue oriented organisations

  • Translate internal marketing briefs for creative and PR agencies working in partnership with the agencies to develop campaign responses for Brand Marketing Program Delivery Team sign off particularly for higher complexity markets.
  • During implementation of campaigns, oversee and manage agencies media creative and PR to ensure timely delivery as per the agreed brief and ensure quality of assets released is maintained at broadcast collecting evidence from agencies or other sources as needed.
  • Develop strong relationships with agencies, providing the guidelines and framework for the Emirates brand while also working together to drive creative inspiration.
  • Provide feedback to Media and Corporate PR on the performance of the media agency and PR agency. Work collaboratively with teams across the department in particular working closely with the Brand Marketing Program Delivery Team from a commercial requirement perspective and developing a strong relationship with the Strategic Planner to ensure data driven insights and recommendations are driven into campaigns across all defined markets.
  • Responsible for ensuring the brand promise and customer experience are fully represented in campaigns across all touchpoints in all defined markets. Leverage data-driven recommendations from the Strategic Planner in campaign planning and execution ensuring customer centricity in all campaign work.
  • Effectively determine budgetary requirements for assigned markets and make workable recommendations for optimization of the budget where possible across each market. Monitor and forecast the utilization of the budget providing timely recommendations to the Brand Marketing Program Delivery Team in situations of forecasted overspend or underspend.
  • Develop and coach the assigned team of Marketing Operations Specialists ensuring the team understand their objectives and the operating model and have the necessary skills to execute the role effectively.
  • Support on creating consistency across all regions and business unit support teams within Marketing Operations by raising issues to the Manager Marketing Operations and following standardised guidelines and processes.
  • Ensure learnings from activities is shared with the rest of the team either in team forums or by keeping the Manager Marketing Operations informed.
Qualifications
  • Degree or Honours 12+3 or equivalent
  • 8 years of experience in account management within an international marketing agency or in the communications department of an international organisation
