We are looking to onboard a highly skilled CTD MWD Field Specialist to support real-time data acquisition, tool management, and directional control during coiled tubing drilling operations. This role is critical to the success of a newly awarded project involving advanced 3D well placement, where precision, reliability, and seamless execution are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy and operate MWD tools integrated with Coiled Tubing Drilling BHAs, ensuring optimal data acquisition and directional guidance.
- Perform real-time data monitoring, gamma and directional logging, and toolface control to support directional driller execution.
- Validate and calibrate MWD sensors before deployment and verify tool readiness during pre-job checks.
- Monitor telemetry and downhole signal quality, troubleshoot tool failures, and ensure uninterrupted data flow to surface.
- Work closely with directional drillers, CTD supervisors, and surface systems to align on drilling parameters and adjustments.
- Generate accurate and timely field reports, including surveys, tool run records, and end-of-well documentation.
- Participate in rig-up/rig-down, system integration testing, and communication checks with surface units.
- Maintain strict adherence to company HSE policies and participate in safety briefings, audits, and incident reporting protocols.
- Provide on-site support to the client and ensure service quality meets or exceeds expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education on a case-by-case basis.
Required skills include a strong understanding of MWD tool physics, sensor placement, telemetry systems (e.g., positive pulse, EM, or wired pipe), +7 years of MWD field experience with at least 2 years in Coiled Tubing Drilling environments, experience with downhole logging tools compatible with CTD operations, familiarity with directional drilling workflows, and proficiency with MWD software platforms. Experience in horizontal, deviated, or multilateral wellbores is an asset.

SECTION II: KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all on-site repair, maintenance, and testing tasks to ensure proper documentation of all related processes.
- Diagnose errors and technical problems and determine proper solutions to produce timely and detailed service reports.

- Call the customer for the visiting appointment time.

- Assist with delivery & installation, project, and workshop repair when needed.
- Maintain tools & vehicles issued by the company.
- Collect and deliver appliances from dealers, showrooms, or customers (if any).
- Coordinate with the supervisor for any issues arising while on duty to avoid delays in attending service calls.
- Attend any other tasks given by the supervisor from time to time.
- Participate in product training provided by the company to enhance knowledge.
- Comply with MHAO and RTA safety laws while driving the vehicle.
- Collect service charges/fees from customers and daily handover the collection amount to the technical/service supervisor.
SECTION III: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES
Educational Qualification: Completed high school with Technical Diploma.
Additional Qualification: Certificate in Electronic Repair.
Years of Experience: 5 years’ experience in house appliances repair and installation.
High-level ability to test, troubleshoot, service, and repair home appliances. Ability to adapt to dynamic work schedules and flexible shifts. Excellent customer service, communication, and self-management skills. Must have a UAE driver’s license.

Job Summary
Reporting to the Service Team Leader, the Service Technician, will take responsibility for supporting and servicing all products and clients for NOV's Process & Flow Technologies business within the Middle East market. Your existing knowledge within electrical and mechanical servicing of pump products including reciprocating / Centrifugal and / or Progressive cavity pumps & chokes will be critical to your success in this role. As Service Technician, you will liaise with internal stakeholders of our Dubai site and manage your daily, weekly and monthly schedule in an efficient manner to maintain strong customer relations with the support we offer. Key to this role will be your ability to drive continual improvement processes, enhancing efficiency and performance within our industrial markets and delivering technically competent installations, commissioning, servicing and maintenance support to our customers.

An ability to prepare and carry out product training and assist the sales team with technical queries will also be required as part of the role.

- Liaise with NOV project teams and management, Client and Vendors relating to their allocated installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance activities
- Prepare, review and approve work packs required for the above related activities
- Co-ordinate with on-site sub contract labour as required for above activities
- Undertake installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up operations of process plant in line with NOV procedures, including but not limited to :
- P&ID walk downs
- Mechanical completion checks
- Factory acceptance tests
- Training material Preparation
- Leak testing / pressure testing
- Train operators and client personnel in use of process plant and equipment in line with NOV operation and maintenance manuals Must ensure that company policies and procedures are being enforced and adhered to at all times.
- Arrange services and work with all involved departments to meet needs of customers and production schedules.
- Maintain contact with plant operational personnel to build long-term relationship / database of customer feedback
- Under management direction, provide after sales services including inspections, spares, advice / recommendations, liaising with engineering departments as necessary.
- Be fully familiar and fully conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times
- Provide HSEQ leadership ensuring personal compliance with legislation and Company policies
