About the role

  • We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect – D365 F&O, Retail & Commerce to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), Retail, and Commerce, with a deep understanding of system architecture, integrations, and solution design. Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform is a plus. The ideal candidate should be present in UAE or eligible to work in UAE

Essential Functions

  • Define and oversee the technical architecture for D365 F&O, Retail, and Commerce implementations, ensuring scalability, security, and performance
  • Design and implement custom solutions, extensions, and integrations for Dynamics 365, leveraging Azure services, APIs, and Power Platform
  • Lead technical discussions with stakeholders, gathering business requirements and translating them into system architecture
  • Work closely with functional teams to ensure technical solutions align with business needs, particularly in retail, e-commerce, and omnichannel commerce
  • Architect and implement seamless integrations between D365, third-party applications, payment gateways, POS systems, and ERP modules
  • Define data migration strategies, ensuring smooth transition from legacy systems to D365 F&O
  • Ensure high system performance, security compliance, and adherence to Microsoft best practices
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and automated deployment frameworks
  • Guide and mentor technical consultants and developers, conducting code reviews and architecture assessments

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 F&O technical development, with expertise in Retail & Commerce
  • Hands-on experience with X+, C#, .NET, SQL Server, and Azure DevOps
  • Deep understanding of Retail and Commerce business processes, including POS, inventory management, and omnichannel operations
  • Experience integrating D365 with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI)
  • Strong experience in Azure Logic Apps, OData, API Management, and third-party integrations
  • Expertise in data migration, dual-write configurations, and performance optimization
  • Knowledge of security models, RBAC, and compliance standards for enterprise systems
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor developers, and drive project success

Overview of the role

Act as the lead for the preparation of financial statements and coordination of the external audit for assigned legal entities and territories. What you will do

Finance Reporting and Controlling

  • Support the creation and ensure compliance with operational accounting policies
  • Perform effective training and management on the accounting procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining the chart of accounts and effectively communicate any changes being made / new accounts being opened with the purpose of use
  • Preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements as assigned by the line manager
  • Support the preparation / conducting Training & workshops for Controls and IFRS standards

External Audit

Tax

  • Support the Tax tower in responding to Financial Statements related queries
  • Support the Tax tower in preparation of the CIT tax filings
  • Ensuring compliance of completion of the financial statements in a timely manner to avoid late Tax filings
  • Coordinating with the Tax tower to resolve tax related queries from external auditors

Document Retention

  • Responsible for Document retention compliance in all geographies

Automation

  • Support the streamlining of the financial statements’ preparation automation project

As our client's Financial Reporting Manager, you won't just prepare reports — you'll orchestrate precision, ensure compliance, and build stories with numbers that keep the Central Bank smiling and auditors nodding.

You'll be the go-to wizard for:

  • Supervising timely submission of financial/non-financial reports to the CBUAE
  • Leading annual/interim financial statements with IFRS + Basel III disclosures
  • Ensuring a seamless month-end/year-end accounting cycle
  • Managing the CBUAE BRF reporting programme (hint: yes, you'll team up with IT)
  • Driving regulatory changes, Basel III capital calculations, FATCA & CRS reporting
  • Supporting audits, testing new products, and owning strategic finance initiatives
  • Partnering across departments to future-proof our reporting game

What You Bring to the Table:

  • CA / CPA / ACA qualified (Non-negotiable. Gold stars if you're all three)
  • 10+ years' of experience in finance/accounting, preferably in financial services
  • Solid understanding of CBUAE requirements, circulars, and regulatory frameworks
  • Mastery of Power BI and SAS (you make dashboards look good and smart)
  • IFRS? Basel III? You know them like the back of your balance sheet
  • Sharp analytical mind + solid project/change management experience
  • Superior report writing & stakeholder influencing skills
  • English fluency required. Arabic = bonus points
  • You're accurate, calm under pressure, and love a good spreadsheet challenge
