Job Purpose:

Key Result Areas:

Job Context:

The role will be responsible for the management of a complete food safety management system overhaul with a target of achieving a BRC accreditation across EKFC entities and facilities to ensure audit and regulatory compliance is achieved with the highest standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:

Education Qualification:

Food Safety Officer

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

About the Company

Our client is a leading business and events hub in the UAE.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise food hygiene and safety across all stages—from purchasing and receiving to production and consumption—to ensure safe food handling and prevent foodborne illnesses.
  • Coordinate with Culinary, HS Operations, Engineering, and Housekeeping to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (Dubai Municipality, ADAFSA).
  • Conduct monthly hygiene audits in all DEC F&B areas, issue reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Maintain CCP and OPRP records in kitchens and operational areas.
  • Monitor personal hygiene and grooming standards of food handlers; manage Occupational Health Card records with HR.
  • Investigate food safety-related customer complaints and document outcomes in coordination with management.
  • Monitor daily hygiene standards in all F&B outlets.
  • Conduct quarterly inspections of outsourced food outlets and food trucks; report findings as scheduled.
  • Provide food safety support during exhibitions and events at DEC.

What are we looking for?

  • Diploma level qualification in Microbiology, Food Science, Biotechnology or Life Sciences is a must. University Degree (B.Sc / B.Tech) in Food Hygiene or Food Technology, or Microbiology, is an added advantage
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in 5* Hotel Industries, Hospitality industries or food manufacturing industries, or Catering industries in a similar position.
  • Experience in a Convention and Exhibition Centre in a similar role is preferred.
