We're on the lookout for a skilled and meticulous Product Designer to spearhead our design system. With a strong background in user-centered design, you'll be responsible for crafting and maintaining our design system, ensuring seamless consistency across all products.
Main Responsibilities- Design System Leadership: Develop and refine Rapyd's design system by enhancing existing components and creating new ones for inclusion in core and product-specific libraries.
- Maintain Design Consistency: Ensure that the design system is applied uniformly across all Rapyd products, including Client Portal, Back Office, and Mobile Apps (iOS and Android).
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams comprising product managers, developers, and stakeholders to embed the design system into the development workflow, aligning with product goals and user expectations.
- User-Centered Design: Leverage user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions, guaranteeing solutions effectively address user needs and improve experience.
- Driving Design Innovation: Promote the adoption of design system expertise and AI tools, championing best practices to continuously elevate design quality.
- Adaptability: While leading and evolving the Design System, remain flexible to contribute to broader product design projects as priorities shift—applying your expertise in UI/UX design, prototyping, and user research to deliver high-impact solutions across Rapyd's products.
- Experience: 3–5 years in product design, with a proven portfolio showcasing expertise in building and managing design systems alongside delivering user-centered design solutions.
- Design Tools: Proficient in Figma, with hands-on experience in building and maintaining component libraries and design systems.
- Data Analysis: Hands-on experience with research, usability testing, interviews, and product data analysis—using insights to guide design decisions and continuously enhance user outcomes.
- Communication: Strong collaboration and presentation skills, with the ability to champion design system best practices and clearly communicate design decisions across teams.
- AI Integration: Practical experience using AI tools for research, ideation, and design, demonstrating the ability to seamlessly integrate AI into the design workflow.
- Mobile App Design: Experience designing iOS and Android app components within a design system, ensuring platform-specific consistency and seamless user experience.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset for identifying challenges and delivering innovative, user-focused solutions.
