Job Title: Hostess
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly skilled and friendly hostess to join our team. As a hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
You will be responsible for managing guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
You will need to have a good knowledge of our menu and all products.
You will be required to follow correct reporting procedures if faced with issues.
You will need to practice 25hours grooming standards including uniform dress code, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
You will be responsible for assisting callers courteously and promptly, taking messages as necessary which are legible and accurate passing them on to the appropriate person without delay.
You will need to have a good knowledge of the restaurant's sitting arrangements.
You will be required to comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
You will need to perform any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
You will be responsible for supplementing the busboy in clearing and resetting the tables.
You will need to perform all assigned side work.
You will be required to perform other duties as requested, handle special guest requests according to 25hours guidelines.
You will need to attend required meetings and trainings.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by 25hours from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
Knowledge of restaurant operations, to include appropriate staffing levels, service equipment and guest relations.
Ability to read the English language to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, reservations, promotional materials, event orders and similar written materials.
Ability to speak the English language sufficient to conduct small employee meetings to impart new information.
Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
Ability to move throughout a crowded room to seat guests.
Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Prefer six (6) months to one year previous serving experience. Prior hospitality experience preferred.
Additional language ability preferred.

A little taste of your day-to-day:
- Meet and greet all guests, and potential guests, at the front of the Restaurant by ensuring the following:
- Ensure the restaurant is ready to receive guests prior to opening and that both wait staff and tables are ready in line with opening standards.
- Maintaining impeccable uniform and personal presentation standards in accordance with hotel policy.
- Welcoming guests to the Restaurant, by using the Restaurant name.
- Inquiring if they have a reservation and noting it in the reservation book if they do.
- Creating a reservation for them with their dining preferences if they do not, and noting it in the reservation book.
- Being attentive to guest requests.
- Escort guests to their preferred table or reserved table and seat guests according to restaurant standards.
- Take telephone bookings and document in the Reservationsystem according to restaurant standards.
- Train servers and runners as per SOP.
- Be attentive to guests and resolve their complaints where possible, reporting all incidents to your Supervisor.
- Maintain responsibility of cleanliness of hostess stations, all menus, and drink menus.
- Might assist with food and beverage service.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of menu, including daily specials.
- Maintain current information on all general activities of the hotel.

English is the primary language used in our residences. You can comfortably communicate in this language.
- Previous experience as Wellness Host is preferred. High level of English and additional languages is an advantage.
