As an Airport Service Agent, you will deliver excellent customer service during check-in, boarding, and baggage handling, ensuring a seamless journey for passengers.

Marhaba Services Agents provide exceptional travel assistance, especially for VIPs, unaccompanied minors, or passengers with special needs, ensuring high-quality care throughout their journey.

II. Back-office Role

Contact Centre Agent

You will be the voice of Emirates, providing accurate information and support through various digital channels and voice support, ensuring customers feel valued and supported.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Additional language skills are a plus
  • A levels/High School certificate
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Willingness to work in shifts
  • Proficiency in Windows (Word, Excel, Email)
  • Willing to wear a uniform for front-line roles

For back-office roles, proficiency in English and at least one of the following languages is required: Arabic, Czech, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, or Korean. The ability to type accurately and communicate effectively is essential.

The role of a Technical Author
A Technical Author leads the documentation efforts of an engineering team, typically focused on a product or family of products. You'll help the team develop documentation that serves the needs of the product's users, embracing the principles of the Diátaxis documentation framework. You will have a broad impact on - and responsibility for - the quality of the user experience with the product, and will contribute towards the long-term success of the project itself.
These are not traditional technical writer roles. As a Technical Author, you will participate in development of product strategy. You will have input into product design and user experience. You will combine technical expertise with leadership in documentation, collaborating with colleagues across the company to establish documentation as a first-class engineering discipline. Even the most junior Technical Authors will have the opportunity to develop and demonstrate technical authority.
As well as your role in an engineering team, you will also be a part of Canonical's documentation practice team, that includes all the company's Technical Authors. Here, you'll be amongst other documentation experts, who collaborate to define documentation excellence and drive the development of documentation practice and theory, across the company and in the open-source software community.
Location: These are fully remote roles, open to candidates across the globe.
The role entails

  • Create, maintain and improve software documentation
  • Work with engineering team members, to help them make effective documentation contributions
  • Influence the development of the product, as an expert user of the product, who has important opinions about its function and design
  • Engage with user communities to ensure that our documentation meets their needs
  • Encourage and support community engagement in and contribution to documentation
  • Help standardise the structure, presentation, style and language of content across products
  • Collaborate with documentation peers to advance the state of the art in documentation at Canonical
  • Challenge and advance documentation understanding and best-practice, as part of a disciplinary team
What we are looking for in you
  • Cares deeply about functional written communication
  • Is a technical writer with a programmer's mindset, or a programmer with a record of producing excellent documentation
  • Has a record of community engagement, in open-source software, documentation, research or other disciplines
  • Is sympathetic to the needs and challenges of open-source software and its communities
  • Demonstrates technical curiosity, and is fascinated by software technology and its challenges
  • Has demonstrable documentation skills, insight and enthusiasm
  • Has experience of software development contexts; is familiar with: Linux, working on the command line, application deployment, system operations, and infrastructure management, Git, documentation markup languages
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Holds a BSc/BA degree or equivalent
  • Is able to travel twice a year for up to two weeks for events

Transitioning into a new leadership role can be a daunting challenge for many leaders. To ease this process, transition coaches have become increasingly vital. Nirupama VG of AdAstra Consultants highlights that many skilled leaders struggle during their initial months in new positions, often facing high expectations and uncharted territory.

Transitioning to a new role is a challenging phase for many leaders. To navigate this period with grace and fortitude, they can get help from transition coaches. Nirupama VG, Founder, AdAstra Consultants, says transition coaches have become critical in today’s business environment as skilled leaders struggle initially after securing their desired position. Entering new leadership positions can feel like a pressure cooker — navigating uncharted territory, facing high expectations and leading a team needing guidance. The sink-or-swim method is no longer relevant. She cites research from Acuity Partners that shows that 40% of new executives do not succeed in their first 18 months. This makes the role of a transition coach important. Leaders in large conglomerates typically go through certain career paths that involve transitions in roles, says Rajiv Krishnan, MD & CEO of Ma Foi Strategic Consultants Pvt Ltd. They would need to have exposure to high-growth businesses, turnaround situations, building businesses from scratch, improving profitability, managing costs, tapping adjacencies and exploring alliances. “Now if you have either joined laterally or the conglomerate is not perspicacious enough to help you garner these experiences, it is very possible that you may be pitchforked into a situation for which you are unprepared. Such situations crop up all the time and the situation requires transition coaching. Just as a pilot boat shepherds the ocean liner through treacherous sandbanks at the mouth of a river to the safe harbour beyond, a transition coach helps the leader find a safe harbour,” says Krishnan. A transition structure or programme is needed when a senior leader moves into a new role, says Harold D’Souza, Co-Founder and Director, WalkWater Talent Advisors. Whether the coach has to be external or internal would depend on a variety of factors — the structure of the board in the company concerned and whether it is family-run on an MNC; the seniority and criticality of the role and the leader’s familiarity with the industry, among others.

External transition coaches might not be needed in every context, but it can help in some cases. Need for transition coaches Deepak Jayaraman, Transition Coach and Founder of PlaytoPotential, says transitions are lonely phases where the incoming leader does not have the network of goodwill in the new organisation. The person has to make sense of the new environment and adapt to the new culture. Trying to drive impact and value in these circumstances can be challenging. “It is like trying to stitch a parachute after jumping from the plane. Having a transition coach who can show the mirror, be a sounding board and help the leader read the situation can be of value.” Transition support can definitely help leaders when they switch contexts, especially industries or maturity (large companies to entrepreneurial ones), explains Jayaraman. These are situations where the leader’s muscle memory might have been built in a certain context and it can derail him in the new context. As executive coach Marshall Goldsmith says, “what got you here won’t get you there”. A transition coach can help in rewiring some of these elements and help the leader settle down amid the various pulls and pressures in a new environment. Often, the leader has to drink from a firehose in the first few weeks itself. A coach can help prioritise and focus on the vital few elements that matter in the transition. Lastly, transitions are situations where hairline cracks can become a full-blown fracture very quickly. A timely intervention by a transition advisor could help avoid derailment of the situation and help address key issues in time.

While recruitment agencies are highly focused on finding the perfect candidate, Nirupama VG says true success depends on factors that go beyond a stellar resume. Newly appointed leaders have to understand the cultural differences, build trust with employees and deal with unexpected issues. This helps the leader to believe in self and make bold decisions. Ways to make it work D’Souza adds that the selection of the right coach is very important. The transition coach should be able to understand the context and the industry segment. The leader and the coach have to set expectations and communicate these to each other. Jayaraman points out that several organisations confuse transition support with induction scheduling. Some go a bit further and assign an informal mentor or a buddy in the new environment. But this hardly addresses the real need of the leader. The transition advisor has to be tactful and objective. In some instances, things can get political and end up stirring a pot best left untouched. This can be especially true when organisations are going through turnarounds or have to experience short-term pain.

One client, a major UAE-based bank is looking for senior and ambitious banking professionals for several Team Manager / Vice President positions in the wealth management division of the bank, including 2 positions available in Dubai with responsibility for wealth management activities / operations in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, 1 position shall be based in DIFC to supervise and manage wealth management operations of the bank in DIFC, and 1 position is available in Abu Dhabi to supervise and manage wealth management activities of the bank in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Job Summary :

The Team Manager and Vice President in Wealth Management, is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of Relationship Managers / Senior RMs, Business Development Managers and other team members of the wealth management team to achieve sales targets, manage and enhance relationships with the existing wealth management / elite banking clients, including high-net-worth individuals, and ensure regulatory compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of banking wealth / investment products, insurance solutions, coupled with excellent leadership, communication, and client-centric skills. The Team Manager / Vice President in Wealth Management plays a crucial role in fostering a high-performing sales culture and ensuring the team consistently provides valuable wealth management solutions to its clients.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Team Leadership and Performance Management , including :

  • Lead, motivate, and coach a team of Relationship Managers, Senior RMs, Business Development Managers, Financial Analysts and other members of the wealth management team to achieve individual and team sales targets for wealth / investment products, insurance products, and other wealth management solutions;
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, one-on-one coaching sessions, and provide constructive feedback to enhance team members' skills and performance;
  • Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities (e.g., product knowledge, sales techniques, customer management experience, etc.)
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven sales culture within the team;
  • Monitor team activities, sales pipelines, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure target achievement and identify areas for improvement;
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new team members.

2. Business Development and Sales , including :

  • Drive the implementation of wealth management sales strategies and initiatives to grow assets under management (AUM), revenue, and client base;
  • Develop and supervise execution of individual sales plans of Business Development Managers, Relationship Managers and Senior Relationship Managers aligned with overall wealth management objectives;
  • Support the wealth management team members in client acquisition, deepening and enhancing existing relationships, and identifying cross-selling opportunities across the bank's product suite;
  • May directly manage a certain portfolio of key HNW clients and assist team members with complex client cases;
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to refine business development approaches and product offerings.

3. Client Service and Financial Planning Oversight , including :

  • Ensure that the team provides best-fitting wealth management / investment solutions tailored to clients' financial goals, and risk tolerance;
  • Oversee the quality of client interactions, ensuring a high standard of client service and satisfaction;
  • Act as an escalation point for complex client inquiries, complaints, or sensitive issues, working towards effective resolution.

4. Risk Management and Compliance , including :

  • Ensure strict adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements governing wealth management activities (e.g., SCA regulations, UAE Central Bank regulations, policies and guidelines, AML, KYC, consumer protection laws in the UAE);
  • Monitor team sales practices to ensure ethical conduct, suitability of advice, and proper disclosure to clients;
  • Conduct regular reviews of client files, investment proposals, and transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance;
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and communicate their implications to the team;
  • Identify and mitigate operational and reputational risks associated with wealth management activities / operations.

5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management , including :

  • Collaborate effectively with product development teams, operations, compliance, and other relevant departments to deliver seamless client solutions;
  • Provide market intelligence and client feedback to product development teams and the involved senior management;
  • Represent the wealth management team in cross-functional meetings and initiatives.

Requirements

Education and Certifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Master's degree (MBA) and relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CFP, CISI) are highly preferred;
  • In-depth knowledge of DIFC policies and guidelines, such as DFSA is high preferred for a position based in DIFC.

Experience :

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in wealth management, financial advisory, financial asset management, or a related sales / business development / team management role within the financial services industry;
  • Proven track record of success in leading and managing a team of financial professionals (minimum of 3 years in a leadership role);
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets for wealth / investment and insurance products;
  • Strong understanding of diverse wealth management products and services, including but not limited to mutual funds, bonds, equities, structured products, FX instruments, and insurance solutions.

Skills :

  • Exceptional Leadership and Coaching Skills : Ability to inspire, develop, and drive a sales team to achieve ambitious business development, customer retention and product-related targets;
  • Strong Sales and Negotiation Acumen : Proven ability to drive sales performance and close complex deals;
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills : Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members;
  • Client-Centric Approach : A deep understanding of client needs and a commitment to providing comprehensive and suitable financial advice and solutions;
  • Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge : Thorough understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements in the UAE;
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions;
  • Technological Proficiency : Familiarity with CRM systems, financial planning software, and investment platforms;
  • Results-Oriented and Resilient : Driven to achieve targets and able to perform under pressure.
