Ubuntu Pro is a suite of specialist services provided by Canonical. Whether for enterprise customers deploying systems at scale or users who want security patching for their personal Ubuntu LTS at home, the Ubuntu Pro Client is the command-line tool that manages all these services.
The quality and stability of the Ubuntu Pro Client is critically important, since it comes pre-installed on every Ubuntu system. You'll work with the Ubuntu Server team, alongside major cloud partners and multiple Canonical product teams to develop, test and release improvements to the Pro client. You will also be a voice in communication with our users, ensuring their needs are met.
This role requires quality-oriented software engineering in Python and a focus on software interoperability over a vast range of target releases and environments. Excellent Python skills are a key requirement, with previous contributions to open source Python projects being an advantage. The Pro client often interacts with the Ubuntu package management; therefore, experience in configuring apt, and knowledge of deb packaging and general system administration is advantageous in this role.

Software Engineer - iOS: Develop and maintain iOS apps. Requires 5+ years of experience in Swift, Objective-C, knowledge in WebRTC/XMPP, REST APIs, testing, scaling, Git, and Fastlane.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on projects from scratch.
- Maintain existing iOS apps, including fixing bugs.
- Design and develop new custom components to meet project requirements.
- Able to debug memory leaks using XCode and Instruments tools.
- Work in a fast-paced and learning-oriented environment, stretching the boundaries of technology.
- Ensure quality and compliance standards within the team and follow industry best practices.
- Comply with Avriocs information security and information service management policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of information and attend mandatory information security training.
- Report information security incidents through Avriocs established incident reporting channel.
Experience and Expertise:
Min 5 years of experience in developing iOS native programming. Profound knowledge of Swift and Objective-C; expert-level proficiency in SwiftUI. Knowledge of WebRTC and XMPP Frameworks is a plus. 4+ years of relevant experience as an iOS Developer with a solid understanding of common programming architectures, such as MVVM, MVP, VIPER. Experience in REST APIs like JSON, XML. Experience in databases like SQLite (CoreData). Experience with unit test cases and familiarity with testing frameworks. Experience with chat, audio/video calling, or live video streaming solutions. Experience in scaling applications/services to millions of users. Strong knowledge of design patterns and the ability to choose the best solution for the product. Familiarity with version control/CI tools: Git, Fastlane.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, or equivalent technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Good to Have:
Knowledge of WebRTC and XMPP frameworks. Experience with chat, audio/video calling, or live video streaming solutions.

- Expand internal monitoring, reporting and operational tools and processes
- Drive partners integrating to our network providing technical expertise and support
- Design and develop API based integrations
- Apply coding and analytical skills in all phases of the SDLC - use efficiently version control systems.
- Be customer facing - you will have a close relationship with our partners and business development teams to expand our coverage and services
- Work closely with different internal teams to understand and support operational processes and new solutions
- Always keep a solution mindset and proactively look for improvements that you can bring to the organization
- Work with an agile and expanding team
- Software engineers that are motivated, curious and have an appetite for learning
- Proficient in Go. Perl or Python would be a plus.
- 5+ years of experience working and integrating with APIs over IP (REST, Web Services, .)
- Experience in a B2B company supporting partners on a technical solution or service
- Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL or other database systems
- Experience with GIT & Linux
- Experience with test driven development
- Experience in project management is a plus
