Job Description
In this role, the Engineer will be expected to provide technical expertise and consultancy at customer sites to install, troubleshoot, engineer, operate, configure and optimize CCC products and systems at customer sites. Additionally, the Engineer will instruct CCC customers in specific, appropriate product usage.
Listed in order of relevance:
- Using independent judgement, knowledge, and expertise to perform Pre-commissioning activities including system checkout, instrumentation calibration, loop checks, and communication testing.
- Test and perform tuning including machinery testing, control loop tuning and troubleshooting within the larger customer process.
- Apply advanced mathematical concepts and operations to effectively complete specific projects and tasks.
- Thermodynamic calculations and analysis of machine performance.
- Provide remote technical support, systems engineering support and troubleshooting
- Transfer technology knowledge to Customer operating and engineering staff through training sessions.
- Collaborate with departments cross functionally to support the entire Lifecycle of our products and customer experience
- Complete required administrative tasks (expenses, reports, etc.) and aftermarket support
- Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university required
- Internship, Co-op, or 1-3 years of previous work experience with turbo machinery control systems (Compressors, Steam / Gas Turbines, Expanders, Generators) and Process control preferred
**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**
- Proficiency in computers and networking. Programming skills are a plus
- Proficient in knowledge of thermodynamics concepts gained through formal education
- Basic training skills preferred
- Experience with safety systems and / or TUV certified is a plus.
- Ability to read, speak, and write in English required, all other languages are a plus
- Certified to work offshore or willing and capable to complete the required training
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
70 percent or more of travel per year expected (within and outside home country). While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Extensive domestic and international travel is required.

**Job Overview**
The Repair and Maintenance Technician (hydraulic) role undertakes hands-on tasks and utilizes Weatherford's facilities, equipment, machinery, and systems. The role applies techniques and practices to complete the scope of tasks covering inspection, repair, and maintenance of field tools, preparing them for their next assignment. Tasks will span the entire process from receiving the tools, dismantling, repairing, and refurbishing using technical manuals, procedures, and technical work instructions. While this is a generic job description covering the different levels of the R&M Technician position, all aspects of the roles and responsibilities are relevant. More senior roles lead and oversee tasks carried out by other R&M employees.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Participates in all daily operations & safety meetings, toolbox, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and reports any issues promptly using the appropriate tools
+ Maintains equipment, facilities, and work area in a presentable and safe working condition
+ Repairs machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, cranes, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices
+ Follows maintenance processes & procedures to undertake the following: unloading, disassembly, cleaning, pressure testing, visual checking, painting, assembly, loading, and storage of tools, completing all necessary documentation as required against their level of training & competence
+ Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford's Management System
+ Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement
**Skills**
+ Working with hazardous materials, radioactive elements & explosives. Awareness of NDT, NDE and ATEX policies & principles
+ More senior roles require the ability to diagnose issues and problems with tools/equipment
+ Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, monitoring of equipment
+ Critical thinking, active learning & listening, complex problem solving
+ Quality Control Analysis to ensure product meets required standards
+ Capable to meet the physical demands that the role requires
+ Information & task ordering & ability to identify when a problem may occur and where possible to understand solution

+ Ability to imagine how tools and products will look when preparing for assembly, repair or modifications
