We manage electrical power, air conditioning, fire safety, cleaning, specialized equipment, landscaping, and compressed air systems, while supporting facility expansion and maintenance. As a Facility Maintenance Shift Supervisor, you will supervise a team of maintenance staff carrying out maintenance, repairs and installation activities on equipment and building services systems throughout the Engineering Facilities complex, ensuring all activities are performed to manufacturers' guidelines and recognised maintenance engineering practices.
Responsibilities- Supervise maintenance and repair activities on aircraft maintenance support equipment, building services equipment and electro/mechanical installations.
- Ensure completion of corrective and preventive work orders accurately and that all documentation and records are maintained in the facilities computerised maintenance management system.
- Prepare material requirements and estimates for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Monitor Energy Management, Building Management, Fire Alarm/Detection, Chiller Management and Emergency Generator Systems and initiate necessary action to rectify abnormalities during the shift.
- Respond to emergency situations such as fire alarms, BMS alarms, power failures, and passenger/vehicle lift faults; carry out emergency procedures and contingency plans.
- Liaise with shift staff to assist specialist sub-contractors during maintenance and repairs to building services and aircraft maintenance support equipment.
- Prepare shift rosters and ensure shift inspection routines and assigned tasks are carried out as per the planned maintenance schedule in a timely manner.
- Ensure plant and equipment operate efficiently and conserve energy during the shift.
- Assist in issuing hot work permits and red tags for impairments to fire detection and suppression systems, and provide status updates to the Insurance department.
- Manage and control the issuance of Permits to Work for contractors; ensure permits are updated and issued in accordance with company policy.
- Experience of 4+ years in engineering, electrical, civil or mechanical building maintenance within a large industrial environment, preferably in aviation.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Valid UAE driving license.
- Read, write and communicate proficiently in English.
- Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Word.
