• Strong technical knowledge of kitchen appliances (e.g. ovens dishwashers fryers) and laundry equipment (e.g. washers dryers ironing systems) including both electrical and mechanical components.

• Proven ability to diagnose troubleshoot and resolve faults in equipment efficiently and safely.

• Proficient in using hand tools power tools and diagnostic equipment relevant to kitchen and laundry systems.

• Understanding of safety protocols hygiene standards and regulatory compliance related to food service and laundry operations.

We are seeking a skilled detailer to join our high-performing structural detailing team at ALEC Building. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate rebar shop drawings, Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), and as-built documentation to support the delivery of high-quality structural work on major UAE-based projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ACI 318-14 and BS 8666 codes, as well as experience with advanced AutoCAD skills and Tekla Rebar software. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, time management skills to meet tight deadlines, and a commitment to delivering top-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review Tender and IFC drawings, BIM models, and asset data issued by consultants in line with ISO19650.
2. Create accurate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), rebar shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
3. Update shop drawings based on IFC changes, RFIs, and DFCs.
4. Extract and prepare rebar details from 3D BIM models.
5. Identify rebar-related discrepancies or missing details and raise RFIs accordingly.
6. Coordinate with subcontractors, review their drawings, and ensure alignment with project standards.
7. Provide rebar-related support and data to site teams and assist with resolving queries.
8. Submit all work to the document controller for proper tracking and publication.
9. Prepare and issue rebar call-offs to the cut & bend factory and site rebar yard.
10. Offer practical solutions to avoid reinforcement congestion and improve constructability on site.
11. Support detailing of rebar in coordination with structural steel and PT systems.
12. Ensure detailers and subcontractors are using the correct information for BBS and drawing updates.
13. Quantify rebar ratios from tender drawings and ensure compliance with relevant standards (ACI 318-14, BS 8666).
14. Deliver high-quality, first-time-right drawings that reflect ALEC's commitment to excellence.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 3-Year Diploma in Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum of 6 years in Rebar Detailing within a construction environment.
• Advanced AutoCAD skills; experience with Tekla Rebar, Autodesk Revit (preferred).
• Familiarity with MS Office & Adobe Acrobat.
