We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee our farm operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the farm, including crop management, equipment maintenance, and staff supervision. The ideal candidate should have a passion for horticulture, strong leadership skills, and the ability to make sound decisions.
Agriculture Engineer Responsibilities:- Management of crop production especially fruits in Greenhouse, Net-house and open field environments
- Crop Scheduling
- Land Preparation
- Planting, Growing & Harvesting
- Processing & Packaging of all produce
- Delivery of all produce from the farm
- Budgeting and costing of produce related activities
- Manage fertigation including hydroponics, and monitor crops produced in protected environments and open field to ensure the efficient production of crops.
- Pest control measures – IPM
- Irrigation systems management
- Oversight of product quality control and post-harvest product management.
- Field scouting, crop rotation and cover cropping
- Supervision of the day-to-day time management and labor requirements
- Plan and execute farm operations to ensure the efficient and profitable production of crops.
- Supervise and manage staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Develop and manage budgets for farm operations, including expenses related to labor, equipment, and supplies.
- Manage equipment maintenance and repair, ensuring that all machinery is in good working order.
- Oversee the purchase of supplies, including plant material, fertilizers, pesticides, and manage inventory to ensure adequate supply levels.
- Monitor market conditions and make recommendations for crop rotation and other operational decisions.
- Coordinate with the sales department to ensure that crops are marketed and sold effectively.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to food safety, environmental regulations, and labor laws.
- Maintain accurate records of farm operations, including crop yields, expenses, and revenues.
- Collaborate with other farm managers for development and experience learning.
- Main crops of interest are fruit trees (papaya, banana, mango, citrus, .) grown in greenhouse, net house and open field
- stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging technologies in agriculture such as new varieties, horticultural practices, fertigation and report on it
- Experience in managing greenhouse operations and/or fruit production is preferred.
- Knowledge of farm equipment, including irrigation systems, tractors, and harvesters commonly used in the UAE.
- Knowledge of greenhouse equipment, fertigation especially hydroponics, lighting, cooling and irrigation systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture
- 5+ years of experience in farm management or a related field.
- Optional certification in greenhouse management, such as the Greenhouse Management Professional (GMP) certification.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of crop production and protection practices (IPM).
- Experience with budget management and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to agriculture.
- Proficient in the use of technology and farm management software.

Apt Resources is searching for an experienced Landscape Supervisor to join our team focusing on this role you will oversee the landscape maintenance and development activities within agricultural settings ensuring vibrant healthy landscapes that support agricultural productivity.
The successful candidate will lead a team of landscape personnel coordinate landscaping projects and collaborate closely with agricultural experts to promote sustainability and efficiency.
Responsibilities:- Conduct daily inspections of all landscaped areas to ensure maintenance activities and ongoing projects are progressing as scheduled.
- Monitor fruit trees daily document their condition and share video updates in designated communication channels.
- Track all feedback and instructions from Her Highness ensuring prompt follow-up and implementation.
- Maintain open communication with the Facilities Management (FM) team addressing any landscape-related issues within their scope.
- Coordinate with external contractors to ensure landscaping works meet palace standards and expectations.
- Oversee the progress of all landscaping activities ensuring adherence to approved schedules and timelines.
- Verify irrigation schedules and ensure systems are fully operational and supplying sufficient water to all zones.
- Monitor daily progress of landscape projects and update relevant reports accordingly.
- Inspect all irrigation zones regularly to confirm proper functionality and compliance with watering schedules.
- Monitor plant health to ensure optimal water and nutrient delivery.
- Ensure the exclusive use of approved agrochemicals for pest and disease control maintaining safety and compliance.
- Enforce contractor compliance with palace rules and regulations at all times.
- Monitor and ensure contractors adherence to safety protocols during all landscaping and project-related activities.
- Assist contractors in developing landscape designs and proposals as required.
- Conduct regular quality inspections of landscaping and irrigation work.
- Verify that all materials delivered on-site comply with project specifications and quality standards.
- Prepare snag lists for landscaping and irrigation works and oversee timely resolution prior to project handover.
- Review and validate as-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals for landscape and irrigation systems.
- Support the preparation and execution of handover procedures ensuring all deliverables and requirements are fulfilled.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture Horticulture Agronomy or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape supervision preferably in agricultural settings.
- Strong understanding of plant species soil management and irrigation systems.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be locally available in UAE.
