What you will need to do:
- Drafts project-specific Cost Control Procedures.
- Prepares Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) in accordance with Company's guidelines, WBS, and Contracts pricing structure.
- Prepares initial Project Budget in accordance with the Scope of Work and tender pricing documents.
- Collects actual costs/expenditures and allocates to the CBS.
- Calculates the Value of Work Executed (Value of Work Done VOWD).
- Performs the Earned Value Management (EVM) for both Manhours and Cost.
- Preparation of monthly Manhours and Cost forecasts for Project Management, Engineering, Construction Materials, and other project resources.
- Prepare cost estimates for Variations and Claims including Indirect and Direct Costs.
- Review cost estimates of Subcontractors for claims and variations.
- Monitors project actual costs, determines and analyses cost variances, and develops cost trends and projections using and presenting the Budgeted Cost for Work Scheduled, Budgeted Cost for Work Performed, Actual Cost for Work Scheduled, Actual Cost for Work Performed, and Cost Performance Index.
- Prepares cost reports.
- Maintains records of actual cost elements (materials, equipment, manpower, etc.) to use in the Project Close-Out Report and to provide feedback to the tendering department.
- Liaises with project different sections in cost allocation, accounting, and control matters.
- Participates in preparing the Project Close-Out Report and Lessons Learnt.
- Prepares regular billing to the Client, provides necessary supporting documents, and communicates with the Client for certification and payment.
- Reviews Subcontractors invoices along with supporting documents.
- Performs any other related duties as assigned.
- Participates in periodic site meetings to elaborate the project cost reports, record any suggested changes and/or deviations from the plan, and advise of its effect on the overall budget.
What you will need to have:
- University degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience including 5 years experience in construction industry at similar level.
- Experience in EPC Projects above US$ 100M with direct involvement in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction is essential.
- Previous employment with leading EPC contractors is highly preferable.
- Capability to perform under stressful situations.
- Engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning awareness.
- Fluency in the English language.

Cost Control Specialist Region IMEEAMISSION: The Cost controller oversees all tasks related to the review and optimization of the cost and revenue taking place in our Dubai Regional Office scope. - Assess and Follow the Financial impacts
- Participate on the development of new operational set up with Lines, Feeders, Terminals, Inland providers to improve our Group margin
- Build in collaboration with the management as well as internal and external partners the digitalization of the department.
- Work transversally within the Finance department and with HO Transformation teams to improve the efficiency of our activity.
- Follow up on monthly basis, and in collaboration with each Agency, the achievements of the Cost & Revenue initiatives
- Ensure that achievements are in line with yearly targets communicated by all HO/RO departments.
- Animate Cost Reviews and workshops with GM / CFOs / Cost Control managers of all Agencies.
