As a Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying, leading, and executing activities that are aimed at reducing the costs of failure caused by non-productive time, repair costs, personnel, and premature product failures.
Responsibilities- Ensuring compliance with Manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process
- Leading / participating in Incident Investigation, ensuring the end to end process is considered, (including job planning, preparation, and execution), when determining incident root cause(s) alongside appropriate corrective actions
- Focusing on preventing failures during the lifecycle management of a product or service through active monitoring and corrective action planning
- Supporting job planning and preparation by participating in Risk Assessment / deviation waiver / Management of Change (RA / DWR/ MOC) and deployment readiness assessment processes (DRA)
- Participating in the engineering design review process
- Executing the key steps outlined within the Field Incident Management Process (FIMP).
- Managing the FRACAS DMAIC stages
- Applying root cause analysis (RCA) processes
- Developing and reviewing cause maps
- Facilitating or leading incident investigations
- Facilitating or lead incident review and corrective action boards
- Identifying FRACAS trends to identify and prioritize failure modes to investigate for corrective actions
- Analyzing performance data and monitor performance
- Identifying and report performance trends
- Developing and reporting key performance indicators as needed
- Sharing lessons learned with the field population
- Collaborating across reliability engineering community to facilitate knowledge transfer
- Acting as a subject matter expert for respective area to service delivery and supply chain functions
- Support new product development in all aspects relevant to reliability engineering, through direct liaison with engineering and the deploying region
- Handling special projects as required and Other product line-specific responsibilities

- Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics
- Have a minimum of 6 years in Drilling service - AMO or field experience
- Have Excellent leadership, strong interpersonal, influencing and planning skills.
- Able to work in a global matrix organization
- Able to understand the Service Delivery process and the technical nature of the business
- Have excellent analytical skills.
- Able to work and communicate well with others.
- Able to effectively communicate in English.

Position Title: Project Engineer – Coiled Tubing Drilling (CTD)
Job Location: Dubai, UAE
Duration: 12 months
Role SummaryProcess owner for Project Well Engineering in BHIS for Integrated Coiled Tubing Drilling. Oversee adherence to governing policies, recommendations and established best practices as per IS Management System. Ensure quality control of Drilling, Completion, WO and intervention programs and recommendations. Provide advice on well engineering issues
- Support and provide assistance to well engineering QA/QC activities for all CTD gate stages (e.g. Readiness Review, Peer Assist, Peer Reviews, CWOP, etc.)
- As CTD Well Engineering process owner in the IS organization, responsible for establishing governing documents & policies
- Provide advice on technical issues related to drilling (CTD), in project execution.
- Develop/Write engineering, operational and emergency procedures / Drilling programs for CTD projects
- Liaise with Region & Geozone Ops, BH Product Lines and third party subcontractors in technology deployment
- Oversee implementation of current best practices and continuous improvement processes
- Participate in team meetings and lead strategy discussions
- Oversee capturing of and benchmarking of KPI data
- Oversee compliance with BHI's HSE policies and guidelines as per IS Management System
- Oversee implementation of QA procedures as per IS Management System
- Participate in and conduct customer presentations & meetings, as required
- Well site supervision and/or engineering support may be required at times
- Provide well engineering advice to tender bid preparation processes
- Keep abreast of technological and engineering process advancements through affiliation with professional societies and participation in networks, workshops, seminars and training
- Years of experience: 5 Years within CTD Well Engineering
- Field of experience: 5 Years within CTD Well Engineering
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Underbalanced & Managed Pressure Drilling is an advantage. Experience working in a multi-disciplined field development team is an advantage.
- Soft Skills: Proficiency in English (oral and written). Excellent knowledge of well engineering functions; experience of processes from a major oil company, large independent or leading service provider
- Tools/Software: Proficient in CTD software such as CircaTM, NOV Cerberus; proficient in completion, tubing, flow and well design software and knowledge of cost & risk modeling tools
- Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering or other petroleum industry related 4-year degree. Masters degree a plus
- Industry Background: Oil & Gas
- Accreditations/ Licenses: Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in English (oral and written)
- Excellent knowledge of well engineering functions; experience of processes from a major oil company, large independent or leading service provider

To ensure the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of Coiled Tubing Drilling (CTD) tools and systems. The Reliability Engineer plays a key role in reducing non-productive time (NPT), improving tool life, and enhancing service delivery through data-driven analysis and root cause investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
Tool Reliability & Performance Monitoring
- Track and analyze CTD tool performance across jobs and regions.
- Identify failure trends and initiate corrective actions to improve tool reliability.
- Maintain a database of tool runs, failure modes, and repair history.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Lead investigations into tool failures, service quality incidents, and NPT events.
- Use structured RCA methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA) to identify root causes.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and field teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Develop dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs such as MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), tool utilization, and service quality.
- Provide insights to operations and engineering teams to support decision-making.
- Support digital initiatives for predictive maintenance and reliability modeling.
Tool Qualification & Field Trials
- Support the qualification of new CTD tools and technologies.
- Plan and monitor field trials, ensuring proper data capture and post-run analysis.
- Provide feedback to R&D and product engineering teams.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of tool configurations, modifications, and performance logs.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and client-specific requirements.
- Participate in audits and service quality reviews.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Reliability Engineering.
- 4–6 years of experience in Coiled Tubing or Well Intervention operations, with a focus on tool reliability or maintenance.
- Strong understanding of CTD tools, downhole dynamics, and failure mechanisms.
- Familiarity with reliability tools and software (e.g., Weibull analysis, SAP PM, Power BI).
Key Competencies:
