The Quality Assurance Officer (QAO) will support and execute the Quality Assurance strategy within the aviation maintenance site as directed by the GAL QA Manager and/or Aviation Directorate in accordance with AFAD Technical Affairs Directorate regulations to ensure contractual requirements are being maintained. The QAO will also capture the defined aviation QA Key Performance Indicator(s) (KPI’s) data and report this information to the relevant maintenance program management team and the QA Manager to monitor the overall health of the aviation maintenance program.

1. Responsible for supporting the aviation maintenance site auditing scheduled as defined in the GAL maintenance contract.
2. Assist the QA Manager in meeting and ensuring compliance to the documented quality management system auditing requirements and its processes.
3. Assist in the development of the relevant quality assurance KPI(s) to measure and monitor the aviation maintenance programs performance.
4. Carry out compliance audits for both GAL as required at both headquarters and/or the maintenance sites and performs root cause analysis as required for corrective actions and support maintenance in continual improvement of the overall quality management system.
5. Performs statistical analysis, data analysis and monthly reporting to the management team.
6. Oversees and monitors the development and implementation of the continual improvement program in collaboration with the management team.
7. Recommends changes to the documented quality management system based on experience and data analysis through monthly information.
8. Maintains a professional standard and practices in all aspects of the quality program and its services and be familiar with military organizations, regulations, procedures and their chain of command.
9. Maintains familiarization and ability to comprehend and understand various engineering specifications, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) drawings and/or repair specifications of aircraft related components and/or parts.
10. Must be able to travel between maintenance sites and headquarters.

Masdar is rapidly growing in the projects space and as such the PMO team is currently seeking an experienced Senior Manager Project Quality Assurance to be based in our Abu Dhabi office HQ.

As the Quality expert you will ensure the quality of the assigned projects throughout the construction and commissioning phases. This includes monitoring and controlling quality control plans conducting inspections and resolving quality issues furthermore to work with project stakeholders to ensure that the project meets all quality requirements.

Responsibilities not limited to:

• Develop a detailed standard projects quality assurance procedures plans and guidelines.
• Monitor and control quality management plans for the all ongoing projects.
• Conduct routine inspections of projects to ensure compliance with quality standards and resolve quality issues and defects.
• Work with all project stakeholders to ensure that the project meets all quality requirements.
• Ensure document quality assurance and control activities and maintain quality records and reports for all projects.
• Provide guidance and support to the project team on any related quality assurance aspects
• Ensure that all relevant reports are completed in a comprehensive accurate and timely manner and comply with international principles of corporate governance and standards and shareholder requirements.
• Support Quality Health and Safety Environment (QHSE) activities policies and objectives of Masdar and compliance with the laws and regulations of the country where the projects are located.

Qualifications :

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in quality engineering or related discipline
• Masters degree is a plus

Preferred Experience:

• 8-10 years of experience in the quality field and a proven track record in managing the refinement and implementation of quality standards.
• Solid experience in a similar role as Quality Manager.
• Project EPC experience is essential

Reporting to Lead QA and collaborating with software and product designers to understand QA parameters suitable for entry-level work.

Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate basic testing activities across the development lifecycle with guidance from the QA Lead.

Assist in developing, executing, and maintaining test automation frameworks and scripts using open-source tools, under supervision.

Create, document, and maintain clear, comprehensive test plans and test cases with mentorship.

Monitor third-party plugins, NuGet packages, libraries, JS plugins, and dependencies; assist with updates and note any breaking changes.

Produce monthly summaries that include basic code coverage insights, bug trends, and progress toward KPIs, reporting to the QA Lead.

Assist with AI testing tasks, including model validation, input/output checks, and basic accuracy verification of ML/AI components under guidance.

Work with external entities (3rd party integrations, tech partners, and customers) to understand roles and responsibilities beyond internal tasks.

Investigate and report causes of test failures and bugs, and help implement corrective actions in coordination with the QA Lead.

Aid in regression, integration, unit, usability, and system testing across multi-component systems.

Collaborate with developers, DevOps, product managers, and business stakeholders to support software quality objectives.

Maintain QA documentation, including test plans, defect reports, test automation reports, quality metrics, and audit-ready materials.

Stay current with QA tools, emerging test methodologies, and industry trends.

Create testing documents and checklists as part of standard QA processes.

Troubleshoot quality issues and adjust test procedures as needed, updating the QA Lead on progress.

Conduct basic analysis checks on product specifications.

Create Quality Assurance reports for the QA Lead and management.

Support successful deployment of products into the market across environments (Cloud, On-premises, mobile, API, etc.).

Fresh graduate of Computer Science or a related field, or 0–2 years of QA experience.

Basic understanding of object-oriented programming (e.g., C#, Java, or similar).

Introductory experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) or eagerness to learn.

Basic knowledge of SQL and working with relational databases.

Interest in API testing (REST/SOAP), automation, and integration testing.

Interest or experience in testing in cloud environments.

Awareness of automated load, stress, and performance testing concepts (exposure is a plus).
