The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining power plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. This includes taking necessary action in emergency situations, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting issues with electric control circuits, motors, transformers, and high voltage breakers.

• Taking required action in emergency operation circumstances such as total blackouts, black start islanding and synchronization of the emergency diesel generator
• Demonstrating regular use of Source Failing Evaluation Techniques when fixing plant irregularities and equipment failing

RTC-1 Work Services is a leading employment firm based in Dubai, UAE. Our team has been in the market since 2004 and we are supporting various sectors with their staffing needs across the Middle East and Africa.

The Contractor shall provide OM&R support for all generators, automatic transfer switched (ATS), synchronization gears and light carts, refueling support services to enable refueling of all operational generators on an ongoing basis. The Contractor shall provide inspections, maintenance as required.

The Contractor shall use all USG provided generators, transformers, switchgears, fuel tanks, cabling and any other equipment needed to support the government's requests of spot generators providing prime power for mission requirements.

The Contractor shall:

1. Install, remove, and operate electrical power generating and control systems, automatic or manual transfer switches and associated equipment with proper technical skills.
2. Check equipment for serviceability; position equipment such as gasoline and diesel engines, generators, switchgear, air compressors, and other power generating auxiliary equipment.
3. Inspect installed equipment to ensure compliance with publications, policies, and directives.
4. Inspect, test, and service component systems such as safety, fuel, lubrication, cooling, and air pressure, pumps, regulators, governors, and accessory equipment.
5. Observe and interpret instruments such as ammeters, voltmeters, frequency meters, synchro scopes, automatic temperature and pressure recorders, and engine oil, fuel, and coolant gauges.
6. Adjust engine generator systems to maintain proper voltage, current, frequency, and synchronization; synchronize multiple generators when needed.
7. Operate medium and low voltage generators as required, including start-up, transfer of load, generation, and shutdown of all associated electric power equipment.
8. Monitor and adjust generator and electrical output performance as required; ensure adequate stores of fuel are available for continuous operation of the plants; switch operating generators to maintain electrical output while permitting servicing on generators taken off line.

Duties include observation of key and critical operational parameters and taking appropriate measures in the event of out-of-tolerance conditions.

The Power Production Technician Lead plays a pivotal role in directing assigned Power Production Technicians. This position entails collaboration with other technicians or crews to execute work duties, encompassing the operation, maintenance, and inspection of power production equipment.

• Responsibilities:
• Examine machines and mechanical equipment to identify sources of trouble.
• Dismantle or partially dismantle machines and perform repairs primarily involving hand tools for scraping and fitting parts.
• Replace broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock; order the production of a replacement part by a machine shop or send the machine to a machine shop for major repairs; prepare written specifications for major repairs or for the production of parts ordered from machine shops.
• Reassemble machines and make all necessary adjustments for operation.
• Ensure all assigned and required tasks are completed during shift.

• Qualifications:
• A high school diploma or equivalent training/experience and a valid driver's license.
• A minimum of seven years of full-time verifiable experience required.
• Rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
• Must be qualified as a Power Production journeyman or master technician with a minimum of two years of experience in the maintenance and operation of commercial-grade generators ranging in size from 5 to 2500 kilowatts (desired).

This role necessitates frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk, and risk of electrical shock.

The employee must be physically fit to stand and bend for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Mandatory use of appropriate Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE). Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions. Personnel should be aware of potential relocation under adverse conditions.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading engineering activities related to gas turbine generators and compressors. Your primary objective will be to ensure the successful installation, replacement, operation, and maintenance of these critical systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in FEED and EPC engineering, with a strong background in gas turbine generator packages. Additionally, expertise in compressor packages and rotating equipment is mandatory, as well as a deep understanding of mechanical, process, piping, and instrumentation systems.

Previous experience with OEMs/vendors in generator or compressor engineering is preferred, along with tendering and contracting experience. ADNOC project experience is also desirable. You must possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to review engineering designs, drawings, and supervise project execution.
