We are currently recruiting for a Construction Manager to be based out of our Dubai or Abu Dhabi office and provide construction leadership across UAE. As a Construction Manager in UAE, you will be responsible for providing high level field management to other Superintendents, Foreman as well as our open-shop crews that make our nation’s structures stronger and last longer. Projects typically consist of concrete repair, cathodic protection, waterproofing, and structural strengthening in commercial and industrial settings.
As a successful candidate, you will also be responsible for:
Working closely with Project Managers, Division Managers and other leaders within the STRUCTURAL GC&C business line
Participating in pre-project and pre-task planning activities then disseminating planning details to field crews
Motivating team members to work together to accomplish tasks, coordinate work activities with other construction project activities and assign work to employees, based on material and worker requirements of specific jobs
Ensuring crews are operating all tools and equipment in a safe, proper and productive manner
Providing training and assistance to crews in the performance of work-related tasks
Assisting Project Managers in evaluating various production rates related to the project
Completing all essential paperwork in a clear an accurate manner
Interviewing and hiring of new field employees
Providing leadership to our Company's Safety 24/7 culture
Candidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this exciting position based in our large Operations division:
High school degree or equivalent
10+ years of experience in general construction with at least 5 of those years in a Foreman or Assistant Superintendent role
Prior experience in general repair type projects to include concrete repair, structural strengthening, waterproofing, corrosion control, etc.
Previous experience running 4 projects simultaneously - Ideally in an industrial construction environment
Proven ability to supervise various levels of field managers as well as crews with minimal subcontract oversight
Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and execute to construction drawings and contract specifications
Established dedication to safety and ability to display adherence to our Company's operating principles
Proven experience to produce look-ahead schedules and work with other construction documents as required by the project
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with the customer, crew and project teams
Intermediate computer skills and construction math skills

Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Manager to join our team! In this role you will manage the delivery of a high-end multi tower development in the central business district of Abu Dhabi on a Project Management Consultant team.
What You'll Be Doing:
Leads and oversees the construction activities of design consultants and contractors, ensuring successful management and delivery of the overall construction project(s).
Acts as the onsite representative, responsible for managing and inspecting contractor activities, coordinating construction with ongoing operations and tenant needs, validating contractor progress payments, handling change orders and claims, and maintaining contract documentation, including submittals and correspondence.
Manages a multidisciplinary site team, including site managers, inspectors, resident engineers, and site engineers, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Coordinates effectively with relevant authorities, contractors, client representatives, design teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and compliance with all requirements.
Participates in procurement / tender evaluations.
Drives the Project procedures and reporting efforts.
Coordinates the resolution of construction problems.
Responsible for annual reviews of all supporting staff. Responsible for driving continuous learning for all support staff.
Responsible for deploying the latest and greatest industry tools which could expedite or streamline workflows for project delivery.
Responsible to support and lead with a Safety-First mentality, and support the PMC HSE Manager in all aspects to reduce overall risk profile for the client.
Responsible for updating the master program with key project controls staff.
Responsible for driving the approved baseline program to the contractor and ensuring they meet or exceed program expectations.
Leads and conducts risk management workshops (Monte Carlo) with project controls personnel and ensures the risks are updated and communicated effectively to the client
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or relevant subject required
17+ years of experience, 5 years minimum in managerial role
Must have Commercial/Residential High-Rise building project experience (preferably in the UAE)
Must have effective Oral and Written Communication Skills in English (Expert Proficiency)
Significant technical expertise in applicable disciplines for high rise construction
