What you'll do

This position under Citi Global Wealth will play a role in transforming data into strategic insights that guide decision-making across the organization. This position will assist in the development and measurement of product performance metrics for Citi Global Wealth franchise. This role will partner closely across the Private Bank, Wealth at Work, and Citigold businesses, as well as the product teams, to deliver metric/KPI reporting and foster a stronger data-driven culture. The ideal candidate will have BI experience within a financial services context, with a proven ability to conduct multi-phase projects.

  • Proficient in programming tools such as SQL, Python, etc. to perform exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis and/or qualitative analysis data for large and complex datasets
  • Translate data into insights to drive product performance metrics reporting, communicate clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders all findings
  • Continuously improve processes and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities
  • Interact regularly with business partners to understand their strategic priorities, develop context, proactively design and propose solutions.
  • Work closely with internal and external business partners in building, implementing, tracking and improving decision strategies

What we'll need from you

  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or other quantitative fields and strong relevant industry experience
  • 2-4 years of relevant banking experience
  • Ability to multitask, be organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent understanding of statistics, data analysis, and visualization

  • Liaising and analysis across projects within the Reference Data environment
  • Analysis, specification, testing and implementation of interfaces, workflow solutions, and reference data solutions – An example would be regression testing systems ahead of upgrades
  • Participate in the design, implementation and interpretation of experiments/trials for continuous refinement of on-going strategies
  • Responsible for data quality and timely delivery of reports that make common business sense
  • Participate in Analytics & Reporting trainings to evangelise data across the organisation
  • Be able to work autonomously without supervision
  • Understand business model and user funnels to identify required step changes for product growth
  • Plan, execute, and analyze A/B test experiments to inform product strategy
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field. Masters is a plus.
  • 3+ year work experience in analytics, having closely worked with product and commercials in an internet/e-commerce company
  • Experience in e-commerce, internet and/or digital media
  • Proficient in SQL with exceptional Microsoft Excel skills
  • Skills in Python, R or similar tools are a big plus
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc).
  • Good analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to translate data and information into actionable insights and business recommendations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

The Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights, supporting business intelligence and strategic decision-making at Axios International. This position focuses on ensuring data integrity, building and optimizing data pipelines, and enabling data-driven processes across the organization.

The role holder will directly contribute to unlocking the full potential of Axios+, our digital ecosystem of web and mobile platforms, by leveraging expertise in Python and SQL to enhance data quality, streamline workflows, and deliver meaningful analytics.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Query the main database to generate error reports and automate existing error reporting workflows for improved efficiency and data integrity.
  2. Perform data transformations in the main database to support new analyses and evolving requirements.
  3. Work closely with operational teams to refine analyses, operationalize findings, and integrate data-driven insights into workflows.
  4. Collaborate with the Research and Data Science team to understand data needs, support analysis, and translate requirements into analytical products.
  5. Develop dashboards, reports, and data summaries using Power BI to support decision-making processes.
  6. Present technical work and complex findings in a clear, concise manner to non-technical audiences.
  7. Additional duties as required.

Mandatory Requirements

  1. Attending and completing Pharmacovigilance, Pharma and Product Training provided by the Client with a clear understanding of how to collect and report safety data (as required).
  2. Reporting any adverse events/product complaints as per client’s requirements and/or Axios SOPPs.

Relationships

  1. Report to the Digital Health Manager with a dotted line to the Head of Research and Data Science.
  2. Develop good relations across all levels in Axios, as well as clients and key stakeholders. Interpersonal skills are critical to this position.
  3. Maintain ongoing and frequent communication with Project Team Leaders including Axios regional and global staff.

Educational Background and Experience

Required:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree level education in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or related field.
  2. 1-3 years professional experience in data analysis, data science or similar roles.
  3. Knowledge of BI tools.
  4. Native-level command of both spoken and written English.
  5. Strong proven proficiency in Python and SQL.

Preferred

  1. Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
  2. Experience in MS Fabric.
  3. Arabic fluency.
  4. Experience in Power BI.

Job Circumstances

  1. The position is based in our regional office.
  2. Flexibility in the ability to travel as well as working hours is essential.
