- Internal Medicine
- physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert medical care to adult patients, diagnosing and managing a wide spectrum of health issues, from acute illnesses to chronic conditions.
As an Internal Medicine specialist, you will conduct detailed patient evaluations, develop patient-centered treatment plans, and emphasize prevention and wellness. Your contributions will be pivotal in enhancing patient care and health outcomes within our community.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations for adult patients.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic diseases.
- Create and implement individualized patient management plans.
- Provide guidance on preventive health measures and wellness strategies.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.

Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine required.
- Active medical license to practice in the relevant state.
- 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a clinical setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to function effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning in the medical field.
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus.

Job Description
2.1 Serves as consultant of Internal Medicine Department. Supervises, coordinates and monitors the health care provided in the department to promote efficient and effective delivery of quality health care both in the OPD and in the IP sector. Provides direction and control over all the department’s activities.
Responsibilities3.1 To perform the professional duties of a consultant in accordance with the delineation of privileges as
recommended by the credential committee.
3.2 Supports Continuous Quality Improvement. Develops and promotes appropriate standards of care.
3.3 Supervises and monitors the delivery of health care by department staff. Provides guidance regarding
patient care when indicated.
3.4 Develops and implements effective Peer Review. Evaluates staff and provides annual and on-going feedback as
appropriate.
3.5 Works closely with other concerned committees in developing policies and procedures to promote quality
health care for Internal Medicine patients.
3.6 Supervises or participates in supervision of intensive care areas when assigned.
3.7 Exercises effective interpersonal skills in dealings with department staff, with associates and with Management.
3.8 Evidences leadership skills in developing in others the willingness and desire to work toward common objectives.
3.9 Maintains confidentiality regarding patient information and regarding administrative matters of a confidential
nature.
3.10 Produces written communications, assessments, proposals and administrative documents that are timely and
of high quality. Work product is of the quantity required to effectively accomplish duties as head of the
department.
3.11 Evidences dependability in carrying out the commitments and obligations of the position.

3.13 Develops thorough understanding of policies and procedures of the hospital and demonstrates respect for

3.19 Comply with Waste management procedures and policies
3.20 Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs
3.21 Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications4.1 Graduation from an approved medical school plus one year of internship and three years of residency; certification by the American Board of Internal medicine or Member of the Royal College of Physicians (or its equivalent). 4.2 At least three (3) years of practice as an internist as a licensed specialist. 4.3 Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential. 4.4 Must be highly skilled in the particular field of practice, with mature clinical judgment and ability to provide professional leadership. He / she must have a thorough knowledge of Medical Department policies and procedures with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of his work; personality which inspires confidence and trust in his patients; and adhere to Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Organization. 4.5 Current licensure in country of origin and with HAAD license to practice Internal Medicine in Abu Dhabi, UAE. 4.6 Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, superiors, patients & families

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete a brief admission examination on each patient when appropriate and document clinical findings.
- Responsible for reassessment of all patients at least once, or more times as the clinical condition warrants, and document in the progress notes in SOAP format.
- Provide a 24-hour medical service for inpatient in ward.
- Inform admitting consultants of changes in medical condition of patients and of relevant action taken.
- Follow the instructions of consultants for their specific regime for each individual patient.
- Initiate and alter in-patient prescriptions at consultant’s request.
- Write up “to take home prescriptions” for patients as required.
- Visit all in-patients daily and document in clinical notes.
- Assist consultant/specialist in order to get insurance approval for inpatient.
- Visit patients as required at the request of the nursing staff.
- Be familiar with all relevant procedures/policies.
- Be familiar with centre and company clinical policies. Be aware of the centers’ clinical risk program and report clinical incidents, drug errors and near misses.
- Participate in clinical audit.
- Be completely familiar with emergency equipment.
- Provide a full report to Resident Medical Officer commencing the next shift.
- Be a part of code blue team in the inpatient ward.
- Dress code as per company policy.
- Administratively responsible to the Hospital administrator.
- Professionally responsible to the Medical administrator/Medical Director.
- Liaise closely with nursing staff and other relevant clinical or administrative staff.
- Order diagnostic laboratory and X-ray examinations, determining the diagnosis and prescribing applicable therapy and taking the necessary preventive medicine.
- Review journals and textbooks in order to keep current on latest techniques, procedures and therapy.
- Participate in continuing in-service training programmes, physician’s conferences, etc.
- Participate in the monthly staff meeting of the Internal Medicine Service Division.
- Responsible for the proper practice of infection control guidelines in all clinical areas.
- Keep current with emergency techniques as they emerge and evolve.
- Attend staff meetings and weekly rounds and participate in in-service activities as required, i.e., Morbidity & Mortality conferences, Peer Reviews, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Must have a thorough knowledge of medical ethics, with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of his work; personality which inspires confidence and trust in his patients; and adhere to Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Organization.
- Current licensure in country of origin and with DHA license to practice in Dubai, UAE.
- Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
- ACLS certified.
- Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, superiors, patients & families.
