We are seeking a detail-oriented Inspector - Mechanical to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As an Inspector Mechanical, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of mechanical systems in various construction projects throughout the city.
+ Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and water supply, to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and building codes
+ Coordinate daily with other teams to document and verify the quality and quantity of work performed by contractors
+ Process incoming inspection requests and technical submittals, taking necessary actions as required
+ Read and interpret package contract documents, detailed drawings, and specifications, including any associated updates
+ Monitor contractor compliance with standards and specifications through observation, measurements, and testing
+ Maintain accurate records of contractor manpower and equipment resources on a daily basis
+ Perform site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer
+ Document contractor activities, including personnel, equipment, location, and methods utilized
+ Monitor and report on material deliveries and implement site instructions as directed by leadership
+ Apply and enforce quality control procedures and quality assurance processes on-site
+ Prepare site measurements and conduct surveying checks as needed
+ Monitor health and safety practices during construction works and report any violations
+ Write clear and concise reports detailing inspection findings and recommendations
**Qualifications**
+ Diploma in Engineering required (Bachelor's degree preferred for career advancement)
+ Minimum 7 years of experience in Construction Supervision with a Consultancy, specifically in mechanical-related projects
+ Extensive knowledge of mechanical methodologies, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and water supply systems
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and building codes
+ Familiarity with installation processes and procedures for various mechanical systems
+ Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control procedures in construction
+ Experience in diverse building types, particularly high-rise, mixed-use residential and commercial, retail, and hospitality projects
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports
+ Detailed knowledge of construction techniques and best practices
+ Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the construction industry
+ Proficiency in using relevant software tools for inspection and reporting purposes
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
+ Willingness to work on-site and in various weather conditions

Stantec is currently looking for Mechanical Inspector to join our team in Dubai.
**Qualifications:**
- The Inspector must have relevant technical qualification and must have not less than 7 years' experience in the construction and supervision of Sewerage, Drainage and Irrigation Connections and Miscellaneous Works.
- He must also have full and complete knowledge of existing sewerage, drainage and irrigation networks in the emirate of Dubai.
- He must be well experienced in the survey work with modern instruments and in keeping site measurement records.
- He must have well experience in Road Works and permanent reinstatements.
- He must have full knowledge and experience in dealing with existing services.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the conduct of quality inspections with hands on experience of ISO9000 quality systems.
- Solid experience in maintaining relevant records and generating activity reports.
- Experience in identifying non-conforming works, generating reports and corrective actions and
- Coordinating responses.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Valid UAE Driving License.
