**Job Description**
AECOM are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers, to be based in our Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices. The Mechanical Engineers will work as part of the wider Building Engineering practice and collaborate with architects, structural engineers and project managers to integrate building systems into overall designs.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Create designs specific to their discipline, i.e., heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, power distribution, fire safety, plumbing, and energy systems.

+ Develop Digital skills through adoption of Programming languages in enhancing design automation, data analysis and system integration.
**Qualifications**
+ A minimum of 3+ years is required in Mechanical Design
+ Experience on vertical projects, with a particular focus on hospitality and high rise
+ A Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering is required

As the Mechanical Engineer ,you will be responsible for mechanical engineering services including complete design assistance, inspections, determination of HVAC loads, pump sizing/selection, equipment selection, duct sizing and routing, interior plumbing design and fire protection systems. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be capable of providing mechanical design service, including determination of HVAC loads, equipment selection, duct sizing and routing, interior plumbing design, and exterior plumbing design.
  • Perform all aspects of engineering analysis and design for projects from concept stages through final design and construction management including knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.

Job Description

As the Mechanical Engineer ,you will be responsible for mechanical engineering services including complete design assistance, inspections, determination of HVAC loads, pump sizing/selection, equipment selection, duct sizing and routing, interior plumbing design and fire protection systems. You will work with a team of technicians, engineers, drafters, and surveyors to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project completion.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be capable of providing mechanical design service, including determination of HVAC loads, equipment selection, duct sizing and routing, interior plumbing design, and exterior plumbing design.
  • Perform all aspects of engineering analysis and design for projects from concept stages through final design and construction management including knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
  • Review and analyze preliminary, interim, find project plans and specifications for technical efficiency and adequacy.

  • Monitor all project phases with appropriate managers and staff elements and shall maintain current engineering data for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate projects with AFCENT TSG for engineers in other disciplines, operations personnel (e.g., Electric, Power Production, HVAC, Structures, Pavements and Equipment, and Utilities shops) and other U.S. Government entities to include Wing Safety, Force Protection, Security Forces, Communications, Fire Department, and Medical Group to verify safety, constructability, operability, maintainability, and all project considerations have been addressed.
  • Monitor and report on assigned projects and review specifications and schedules.
  • Verify construction for design compliance and assist with resolution of differences between the U.S. and Host Nation building code.
  • Efficiently use computers/computer software including Microsoft Office, computer aided design and drafting (CADD) programs (AutoCAD), and project tracking programs (Microsoft Project), GIS, and other engineering calculation software packages to solve engineering problems and facilitate work as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4 years of experience.
