RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule and coordinate diagnostic imaging appointments (X-ray, CT scan, MRI, US NM and IR) based on physician referrals, urgency and equipment availability, ensuring efficient slot utilization.
- Screen and verify physician orders, ensuring accuracy of requested imaging procedures, patient details and any necessary indications or priority levels (e.g., STAT, routine, follow-up).
- Confirm insurance authorization and eligibility, liaising with insurance coordinators when necessary, and flagging incomplete documentation in line with hospital billing and compliance standards.
- Enter and update appointments in hospital systems accurately, including cancellations, modifications, and no show documentation.
- Provide patients with pre-procedure preparations (e.g., fasting, contrast dye protocols, medication restrictions).
- Call patients to confirm appointment dates and time.
- Track and monitor daily appointment flow, flagging delays, overbookings, or equipment issues to ensure continuity of patient care and efficient utilization.
- Coordinate with the Radiology team to inform them of daily schedules, urgent cases, and changes in bookings.
- Deliver excellent front-line service, ensuring every patient interactions is handled with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality in line with hospital standards
- Clear communication with patients ensuring they are aware of appointment detail.
- Inform patients of any changes, delays or rescheduling.
- Accurately enter patient data, orders, appointment details into the hospital system.
- Enter patient information into HIS and maintain accurate records
- Inform patient and their caregiver of hospital procedures, polices and protocols
- Schedule and coordinate diagnostic imaging appointments
Educational Qualification:
- Education: Minimum of high-school diploma
- Experience: 1-2 years in scheduling or administrative roles, ideally in radiology or hospital environments.
- Experience in a large healthcare facility
