The manager is responsible for many quality issues in the clinical laboratory, including ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, conducting gap analysis, and developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality management system; either directly or by delegation, and under the direction of the Director of Laboratory Operations.

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Clinical Genomics team. This role involves performing a range of laboratory procedures to support the analysis of clinical specimens, under the supervision of the Genomics Laboratory Supervisor. The successful candidate will contribute to the preparation, processing, and analysis of samples using molecular biology and genomic techniques, helping to ensure timely and accurate test results.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to laboratory policies and comply with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Perform manual and automated extraction and purification of DNA/RNA from clinical specimens (e.g., blood, tissue, bone marrow).
- Prepare DNA libraries and utilize sequencing platforms for basic genomic analysis.
- Operate and troubleshoot Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) equipment.
- Conduct PCR, Sanger sequencing, and MLPA testing.
- Perform QA/QC procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Participate in validation activities, instrument setup, and daily lab operations.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with CAP/ISO standards in coordination with the quality department.
- Stay current with relevant scientific literature and techniques in clinical genomics.
- Support the development and implementation of next-generation sequencing methods and workflows.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with GCLP and internal SOPs.
