**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for a talented **HSE Engineer** to join our team on a Metro Construction project here in Dubai! In this role you will get to liaise with Safety Officers, the HSE Manager and Contractor personnel for the improvement & implementation of Corporate, Contractual, Legal and Project HSE Management requirements.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Implement Parsons and Project Specific HSE Policy, HSE Plan, and HSE legislation and other requirements, monitor HSE performance, and HSE targets, and suggest measures for further improvement.
+ Liaise with the HSE Manager and Contractors for the improvement & implementation of Project HSE Management requirements.
+ Monitor contractors and the activities, to ensure the implementation of applicable Health, Safety and Environmental measures and best practices.
+ Review Hazard Analysis / Risk Assessment Plan and Associated documents for all key activities and Monitor the effectiveness of hazard control measures, job safety plans, and work method statements at the site.
+ Perform HSE visits and report all concerns to the Resident Engineer, for immediate rectification.
+ Perform HS&E Audits on the Contractor for documentation and site compliance.
+ Review and Monitor Contractors' monthly HSE inspections/reports.
+ Conducting monthly Safety meetings, setting the target to achieve the outstanding issues, prepare / submit the minutes to all concerned for follow-up.
+ Review Emergency Preparedness and response, Permit to Work system, Toolbox Talks, Daily Safety Talks, HSE meetings, HSE statistics & records of the contractors, according to Project requirements.
+ Review Incident/Accident investigation reports from contractors, report & communicating the learning points, and monitor the immediate action and follow-up actions to minimize/prevent re-occurrence.
+ Perform trend analysis for identifying potential hazards.
+ Review Emergency response/rescue plans and monitor drills.
+ Mentor and guide HSE Inspectors in their role and provide leadership to the team in the filed for HSE related concerns.
+ Perform other tasks and duties associated with this position, as may be appropriate.
+ Work shift work and weekends, based on the site requirements and contractors works to provide adequate HSE coverage
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline.
+ Minimum 10+ years of related work experience in the field of Health and Safety particularly in Construction sites, Infrastructure, Tunneling and/or Metro projects.
+ With recognized Health and Safety certifications, recognized in UAE (e.g. OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH, Fire Safety, attested documents, etc).
+ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to supervise and manage HSE Inspectors
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Preferably with relevant experience working in an engineering consulting firm.

+ Direct the site supervision related to rail/ metro viaduct and infrastructure.

Requirements

Key Qualifications:
