ABOUT THE ROLE

ZOO Digital currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our award-winning Research & Development team based in Sheffield city centre. Research & Development work closely with the Product Support Team to create cutting edge software solutions for high profile and industry-leading customers. The Lead QA Automation Engineer will play a primary role in planning, implementing, leading, and executing all aspects of testing. The role requires hands-on training and mentoring the team in automation, plus developing and evolving ZOO's QA processes.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Leading and mentoring a team of QA engineers, providing training and technical guidance.
• Developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Cypress.
• Conducting code reviews and providing feedback on automation code and processes.
• Collaborating with development teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Ensuring test coverage for critical path tests of internal and external products.
• Performing API testing, with experience in tools like Schemathesis being a plus.
