Job Description
The role will be accountable to the Operations Director for:
- Safety: ensuring that all relevant safety aspects from a maintainability perspective are taken into consideration during and post the feasibility study. This includes major shut downs, preventative maintenance and shift breakdown activities and proactive actions such as condition monitoring.
- Maintainability: ensuring that during the feasibility study and during the detailed design and construction phases of the project, that the refinery will be “fit for purpose” and that due consideration is given to achieve the correct balance between CAPEX and OPEX. This will involve input into activities such as crane studies and identification of specialised tooling.
- Operating Costs: ensuring that maintainability considerations are fully understood and that the best decisions are made to contain operating costs whilst working within the constraints of the project CAPEX.
- CAPEX and Commissioning: seeking out opportunities to add value to the project by improved maintenance practices as a result of an improved design.
- Timing: ensuring that maintaining concerns are raised at the earliest stage to enable joint and satisfactory resolution with the EPCM contractor, thus minimising any schedule slippages.
Minimum Requirements:
- Preferably Diploma level or above.
- 7-10 years operating experience in the alumina industry.
- 3 years experience as a Maintenance Superintendent.
- Ideally this person will be trade qualified.
- Demonstrated high level of maintenance best practices.
- Ability to train and mentor others.
- Strong understanding of the relationship between production and maintenance.
- Understands engineering principles.
- Good communication skills.
- Readily adapts to a team environment.

We are looking for PMCSuperintendent – Construction (Civil) with 15 years of experience to be based in Abu Dhabi for the onshore LNG project.
Supervise and monitor allcivil and structural construction activities, including:
- Earthworks, piling, foundations, underground utilities
- Structural steel, concrete works, roads, culverts, retaining structures
- Buildings and infrastructuresupporting the LNG facility.
- Ensure all civil works are performedin compliance with IFC drawings, technical specifications, project procedures, and applicable codes(ACI, ASTM, BS, etc.).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Relevant Engineering.
- 15 years of experience , with at least 5 years in LNG or petrochemical projects .
- Prior experience in PMC or EPC supervision roles .
- Strong knowledge ofinternational civil codes and standards (ACI, ASTM, BS, IS).
- Proficiency inconstruction sequencing, site logistics, and heavy civil works.
