About the Role
We seek an accomplished RTL Designer to collaborate with our team in defining computational unit micro-architectural specifications. This high-impact position involves working alongside architecture, physical design, and verification teams to identify potential issues.
The successful candidate will implement micro-architecture designs targeting advanced technology nodes while balancing energy efficiency, performance, and area constraints with project timelines, maintainability, and code elegance.
This role requires reviewing synthesis and power reports, addressing timing and power issues, and ensuring high-quality design standards. The individual will also work closely with the verification team to confirm that the design behaves as intended and is thoroughly tested.
Additionally, they will liase and partner with the physical design team to achieve an optimal layout.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers to define computational unit micro-architectural specifications.
- Implement micro-architecture designs targeting advanced technology nodes.
- Review synthesis and power reports to ensure high-quality design standards.
- Work with the verification team to confirm design integrity.
- Liaise with the physical design team to optimize layout.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in RTL design and ASIC development.
- Proficiency in RTL coding languages (Verilog/SystemVerilog).
- Familiarity with front-end tools and methodologies.
- Experience writing specifications and converting them to design.
- Experience with multiple clock domains and asynchronous interfaces.
- Desirable: experience with system architecture, CPU & IP Integration, and power and clock management designs.
- Plus: low-power design techniques such as clock- and power-gating.
- Excellent communication skills across all internal groups.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Perl or Python or Tcl.
- Familiarity with common on-chip bus protocols such as AMBA (AXI, AHB, APB).
