We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Offshore Field Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. - Participate in the planning and execution of offshore projects, including installations, upgrades, and decommissioning activities.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on offshore operations, performance, and incidents.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in offshore field engineering within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on offshore production facilities.
- Proven knowledge of offshore production systems, subsea equipment, and production optimization techniques.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, environmental requirements, and industry standards for offshore operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging offshore environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team.

About This Role:- AIT Process Development: Define and document the complete AIT flow for satellite manufacturing, including assembly sequences, integration procedures, and test protocols.
- Develop detailed work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with mechanical engineers to ensure design for manufacturability and ease of assembly.
- Collaborate with test engineers to define test requirements and develop test fixtures and equipment.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.

- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, industry standards, and internal quality procedures.

- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience with space qualification testing procedures and standards, thermal vacuum testing, thermal ambient testing, and vibration testing.

Primary Level Salary Range: $67,200.00 - $00,800.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: 82,900.00 - 124,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Experience working in several of the following engineering disciplines: Test Engineering, Field Engineering, Hardware Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Software Deployment, Cyber Security, Systems Engineering and Network Engineering
Experience with Microsoft Server, Windows domain architectures, Windows Active Directory, LDAP, VMWare, and knowledge of SAN storage systems, Red Hat Linux Operating System experience and/or certification for current versions
Knowledge of Python and Powershell scripting
Experience with Ansible
Network Certifications/Extensive Experience
Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (Wireshark/HBSS/Solar Winds/Splunk)
Experience with deployment of system images in an enterprise environment

It is imperative that this candidate be familiar with ground stations which utilize a System Admin Manual (SAM)
Experience with IETM’s, NATOPS, Maintenance instructions and Maintenance sign off processes
Experience supporting deployed aeronautical systems
Voice and Data COMMS experience a plus
Experience with Cyber system requirements, STIGs, ATO and other relevant processes
Primary Level Salary Range: $67,200.00 - $00,800.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: 82,900.00 - 124,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. About This Role:- Translate test plan requirements provided by System Test Engineers into executable test scripts and procedures.
- Support installation and commissioning of test equipment and EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment).
- Execute functional, electrical, and system-level tests on satellite subsystems and integrated systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve test failures, identifying issues at the equipment, script, or setup level.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and systems teams to ensure test coverage and accuracy.
- Maintain documentation of test procedures, results, and troubleshooting steps for traceability and compliance.
- Support continuous improvement of test methodologies, automation, and infrastructure.
- Proven experience managing the full procurement lifecycle, ideally in a hardware, aerospace, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), including hands-on use for procurement tasks and workflow improvement.
- Demonstrated supplier management skills, including negotiation, performance tracking, and issue resolution.
- Solid grasp of contractual terms, NDAs, Incoterms, and compliance standards relevant to procurement.
- Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including logistics, planning, finance, and legal.
- High level of ownership, responsiveness, and professionalism.

- Hands-on experience with test equipment, scripting tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB), and satellite EGSE systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues across hardware, software, and test configurations.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with a focus on quality and traceability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with configuration management and automated test systems.
- Understanding of system validation and verification processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment with minimal supervision.

As Senior Field Service Engineer at Hitachi Energy in Abu Dhabi, UAE, you’ll lead aftermarket service and maintenance for High Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgears (132kV, 220kV+), supporting utility contractors across the region. From preventive maintenance and upgrades to commissioning and high-voltage testing, you’ll ensure optimal performance and reliability of our installed base.
This role also involves driving proactive service solutions, resolving customer issues, and strengthening long-term relationships—making you a key contributor to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Technical contribution: Involves participation in the planning and execution of installation and commissioning activities on-site. Executing design modifications for commissioning and offering annotations for as-built project documentation.
- Strong knowledge of High Voltage Products Services & Service portfolios.
- Carrying out Installation & Commissioning including HV PD, extension and Maintenance services independently.
- Providing on-site or remote technical support for installation and commissioning of GIS and routine maintenance services, identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in different Service categories.
- Take part in pre-commissioning meetings, commissioning planning activities and documentation preparation (e.g. FAT documentation, Site ITPs & ITRs, Method Statements, Control programs, etc.).
- Support tendering by providing commissioning plans and time/cost estimation.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Recommendation to customers for immediate and future service requirements, provide feedback to Service Sales team.
- Acting as representative of the OEM during interaction with the customer and preparing the tools, equipment and parts needed for a service job and understanding the scope of the job to be performed.
- Ensuring that documentation for the job is available and briefing with service manager, head of department or supervisor about the expected situation on site.
- Creating service reports, time sheets & delivery notes, endorsed by customers.
- Effectively manages multifunctional interfaces - internal, feeder factories, service department, customers, and sub suppliers and abilities to show personal leadership & maintain a teamwork environment to deliver assignments. Strong self-disciplined approach to ensure quality and accuracy of delivery.
- Establishing long-term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements and applicable regulations, respond immediately to issues and demonstrate in-depth technical service product/solutions knowledge to promote product Life Cycle Management.
- Responsible for adherence to the quality assurance requirements on the Power Plant or Substation or Oil & Gas or process Industries site and seeks to improve these continually.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

- A bachelor’s degree or Diploma in engineering field is required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience and previous experiences of 6 to 8 years in High Voltage Products or Equipment’s (GIS 132KV, 220KV and above) installation testing and commissioning, repair and maintenance, monitoring and measuring devices, maintenance work of High Voltage Products or Equipment’s, or utilities companies.
- Competence in testing & commissioning of switchgears and other key components/apparatus in substations.
- Overall experience in substation projects, from tendering, engineering or site commissioning.
- Computer literate and excellent interpersonal written or oral communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to network and build relationships both internally and externally.
- Highly focused on meeting customer service and quality standards.
- Hitachi Energy make Transmission GIS with valid Certification for commissioning and HV PD is added advantage.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required. Arabic is added advantage.
