Job Summary:
Client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Procurement to lead our MENA regional procurement activities. Based in Dubai and reporting directly to the global head of procurement, this role is responsible for overseeing all strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement operations within the Middle East and North Africa region. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large-scale engineering and equipment procurement, particularly within the energy or heavy manufacturing sectors, and will be a crucial link between our international operations and our global headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute regional procurement strategies aligned with global objectives for the MENA region.
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for major projects, focusing on engineering, equipment, and large-value contracts.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management for high-value capital projects.
- Oversee and ensure expertise in international logistics and customs clearance processes within the region.
- Manage procurement specifically related to heavy lift and transport (cranage and lifting solutions) for project execution.
