Resolve safety hazard situations. Escort any unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation. Report to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts. Call for assistance using proper code responses. Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report. Maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents; release information only to authorized individuals. Conduct investigations and gather evidence. Conduct interviews with relevant parties.

Job Description

The Director of Security is responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety and security within the hotel premises, ensuring a safe environment for guests, colleagues, and assets. This role involves developing and implementing security policies, managing the security team, handling emergency procedures, and maintaining compliance with local regulations.

  • Develop and implement hotel-wide security and safety strategies, policies, and procedures.

  • Lead and manage the security team, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management.

  • Liaise with local law enforcement, civil defense, and other emergency services as needed.

Job Description

The Director of Security is responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety and security within the hotel premises, ensuring a safe environment for guests, colleagues, and assets. This role involves developing and implementing security policies, managing the security team, handling emergency procedures, and maintaining compliance with local regulations.

  • Develop and implement hotel-wide security and safety strategies, policies, and procedures.

  • Lead and manage the security team, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management.

  • Monitor and ensure effective patrolling of hotel premises, including guest areas, back-of-house, and perimeters.

  • Liaise with local law enforcement, civil defense, and other emergency services as needed.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and update emergency response protocols accordingly.

  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of surveillance systems, access control, alarms, and fire protection systems.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, fire codes, and legal regulations.

  • Investigate and document all incidents, accidents, or unusual occurrences, and ensure timely reporting.

  • Coordinate and lead crisis management and emergency response drills and training.

  • Monitor and control the issuance and return of hotel keys and key cards.

  • Manage lost & found procedures and ensure proper documentation.

  • Provide security support for VIPs, special events, and high-profile guests.

  • Prepare and present security reports and analysis to hotel management.

Our Expectations From The Role

The mandatory in this position is responsible for supporting the Assistant Loss Prevention Manager for implementing, overseeing and monitoring all security matters and the enforcement of security policies and regulation for the protection of guests, employees, properties and classified information and from injury, damage, loss and theft.

Experience

  • 3-4 years of experience with hospitality security, Police or military

Specific Duties

  • Patrol all areas of the property; secure rooms; assist guests with room access.
  • Conduct emergency response drills, daily physical hazard/safety inspections, investigations, interviews, and key control audit.
  • Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions and alarm systems. Authorize, monitor, and document access to secured areas. Assist guests/employees duringemergency situations.
  • Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required
  • Gather information and complete reports
  • Conduct safety briefing
  • Maintain confidentiality of reports/documents, release information to authorized individuals.
  • Proper documentation of all accidents, incidents, Marriott Threat condition, ISRA, SSA Files at LP office. and follow up accordingly
  • Be well versed and knowledgeable of JWMM Fire and Evacuation procedures as well as health and safety requirements in the Workplace.
  • Defuse disturbances in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Resolve safety hazard situations.
  • Liaise with Local Authorities
  • Handle all interruptions and complaints
  • Escort unwelcome persons from the property.
  • Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws.
  • Call for assistance using proper code responses.
  • Provide Proper paperwork to employees.
  • Assist management in training, motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model and first point of contact of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
